Tete Dijana wins 2023 Men's Comrades Marathon

The first few runners have completed the Comrades Marathon with South African Tete Dijana taking first place. 18,000 runners started out in Pietermaritzburg at 5.30am this morning running down to Durban in the 96th edition of the Comrades Marathon. eNCA sports reporter Siphokazi Malinga is there for us. #dstv403

Well done to the winners. I'm a little confused though as to how they are calling this a record breaking performance. It's a short route by almost 2.5km unless Tete and Gerda can run 2km in 40 seconds this is not record breaking.

Their winnings should be tax free, its only fair, they train so hard only for the taxman to take a chunk.
Yet if you win the lotto, sitting on your backside, its tax free. I hope the sports minister takes a look at comrades winning being tax exempt.
