Funny story here...I've watched so many quinceañera videos before. In their waltz, they chose to play Disenchanted. Because of that, disenchanted became a favorite song of mine...😂😂 such a memorable acoustic guitar intro, seriously.

Brad Taste in Music I like disenchanted personally because I have special memories connected to that song, so it means a lot to me, and I just feel like it just sounds sweet. So it’s a favorite of mine for that reason
although it can be really frustrating to like things that have cringey fans (g note jokes haunt me in my sleep) I think “cringe culture” is kinda stifling, and I would generally prefer someone who loves something passionately even if it’s cringe than someone who deny themselves something they would enjoy because of other people’s opinions. Y’know, no guilty pleasures. Sometimes it’s... really hard to put some things aside though. I generally agree with your ranking but I do like disenchanted more than you do... it’s corny and I like that lol
Before i watched the video i knew the top 2 would be mama and sleep, and i completely agree. This is definitely the best ranking of TBP. And i really wanna thank you, Brad bc we know you don't really enjoy making this emo content but it seems that you love us and give us the best from you. Great video. Loved your comments for every song. Amazing editing skills. Love u!

Finally! I have been preaching that Sleep is the best song off of the album for years. It is a lyrical, and instrumental masterpiece. I'm glad that you agree with me.
i might be biased because of the lyrics, but famous last words is so motivational and emotional to me that whenever i go through anything, it helps me cry it out and gives me the small push to keep going. i feel that watching it live and screaming “i am not afraid to keep on living” alongside the band and thousands of fans would be so euphoric but that’s just me lol
@@zeroara thank you so much!! you’re so lucky 😭 i live in southeast asia so my chances aren’t the highest for a tour but i’m keeping my fingers crossed!!
Gerard Way always had this idealistic intention to be a voice of a youth that he didn't feel had one at the time. Disenchanted to the story is just some sad complaining but outside it it's what ties the album to the audience that would listen to them performing "all night long" yet never really take it to heart. With that context I always saw the story as something more like a Christmas Carol, showing you a nightmare version of what you could become if you get consumed by your own despair like the patient did. Famous Last Words now has the patient broken but yet ready to carry on anyways. Is that still really cheesy? Definitely, but I like some cheesy so I'm ok with it. It was also really fun seeing you fall in love with this album, because it was my same experience. I never really got into it in its prime. After hearing all the Death Grips, Swans, and whatnot I gave this album a try and was blown away.
I still disagree about FLW, that's a fantastic track imo. But even though I enjoy Disenchanted too, I see your point there and have to agree it's the weakest track... Except for Blood... Can't forget about that important track Blood
Yeah, I know this is a late reply, but I agree with Brad on so many things in this video except FLW. The ending with all the "asleep or DEAAAAADDDDD!!!!!!" stuff is awesome and I think its a great way to finish off the album. I do agree with him, however, that they do ruin the guitar riff near the start with the "so many bright lights to cast a shadow" as its a bit of a weak follow up to the great guitar riff but otherwise, I think its awesome.
1: The Sharpest Lives 2: Mama 3: Sleep 4: Dead! 5: Cancer 6: The End. 7: I Don’t Love You 8: WTTBP 9: Teenagers 10: Famous Last Words 11: This Is How I Disappear 12: House of Wolves 13: Blood 14: Disenchanted Honorable Mentions: The Five Of Us Are Dying and Kill All Your Friends. I always associated those two with The Black Parade.
Man I LOVE disenchanted. The lyrics are amazing. The song is to me about how life starts off care free and then as a teen he gets pressured to be someone he's not but has heroes and then he sees his heroes sell out and he becomes disenchanted with life and everything goes wrong. I am super glad you loved the album and the fact you only disliked 3 songs and I love how you discuss your thoughts thoroughly on each track rather than just giving each song a number and moving on. I love how you analyze and express what the songs meant to you and how they hit you. I also love how you express what the lyrics mean to you but also explain how the instrumentals of each song hit you too. My list would be: 1. The End- 10+ 2. Dead! - 10+ 3. This is How I Disappear- 10++ 4. The Sharpest Lives- 9+ 5. Welcome to the Black Parade- 11² so good it's ridiculous. 6. I Don't Love You- 8 7. House of Wolves- 8 8. Cancer- 10 9. Mama- 10+ 10. Sleep- 10+ 11. Teenagers- 6 12. Disenchanted- 10++ 13. Famous Last Words- 9- 14. Blood- 8
My list: 1. mama 2. disenchanted 3. cancer 4. house of wolves 5. sleep 6. famous last words 7. the sharpest lives 8. this is how i disappear 9. welcome to the black parade 10. i don't love you 11. dead 12. teenagers 13. the end 14. blood
Every time I go back to watch your reaction of The Black Parade every once in a while, it makes me give the appreciation it most definitely deserves. Having another view on it makes me remember all the little details in this album. This truly, to me, is one of the greatest albums I’ve ever heard
The fandom is wired and (like in most fandoms) sometimes cringey, but most of the fandom is just very passionate about the band and sad, because they will not come back together and we lost our favorite band...
personally there is two perspectives i get from famous last words, the first one is that at the end the patient have redeemed himself from his sins after going through this trip of soul observation and past regrets the previous songs offered, he feels forgiven and pure therefore he was ready to live what ever time he had left on the earth. i also like to think that he was out of consciousness and he really believed that he was dead and was seeing points in his life play in front of him especially the very bad ones like when he was a soldier at war, when he was an alcoholic and when he felt alienated from society(teenagers) after this big journey of redemption he wakes up and realizes that he isn’t dead and life has given him another chance: “am not afraid to keep on living I am not afraid to walk this world alone” “Nothing you can say can stop me going home” this gives a sign that the patient didn’t die or at least kept fighting his illness instead of giving up to it like in the beginning of the album where he was vulnerable and ready to go. “Awake and unafraid Asleep or dead” this leaves the ending open we don’t know if he lived or died but at least we know that he fought the good fight, maybe he kissed his loved ones after all and died peacefully with them surrounding him and not turned away. it also made me feel like the protagonist came to peace with his illness, realized that it had good in it, because had he not gotten it he wouldn’t ever review his life and observe past mistakes and change as a person at least this is my interpretation of the song sorry for rambling on for too long but i really really love this track and how open it is to different interpretations.
I don't think he would like it though, I don't really either. The only songs I actually like is Early Sunsets Over Monroeville and Demolition Lovers. I think those songs are amazing, however the rest of the album just doesn't do it for me.
When I was a freshman in high school, I gave the girl I had a crush on a mixtape for her birthday. Like a literal, burned-on-a-CD mixtape. I tried to make it a thoughtful combination of what we both liked; she was really into Muse at the time, and I was *deep* in the MCR rabbit hole. I ended up putting "Sleep" on there because after thinking about it for a while, I decided that it was my favorite song off of The Black Parade. She appreciated the gift (tho I don't know if she ever checked that particular song out), but it's funny watching this and being validated on that choice so many years later.
Lol Disenchanted and Famous Last Words would be up at the top in my ranking! I love the lyrics just so much. Totally respect any ranking though. Happy to hear you loved the album!
I thought I was the only one who loved Sleep, everyone always talks about it being the worst on the album because of its slow pacing in the beginning but dude, its intensity and explosive chorus not to mention the creepy recordings of Gerards nightmares just 🙌
My top worst to best: 14 Blood (Hidden track) 5/10 13 I don't love you 7/10 12 Disenchanted 7/10 11 House of wolves 8/10 10 The end 9/10 09 Teenagers 9/10 08 Sleep 10/10 07 Famous last words 10/10 06 This is how a disappear 10/10 05 Dead! 10/10 04 The sharpest lives 10/10 03 Welcome to the black parade 10/10 02 Cancer 10/10 01 Mama 10/10
editing god = Bradley, totally agree with sleep at number 1, its such an unforgiving track, if you haven't seen it then maybe react to 'the black parade is dead! (full) my chemical romance' its a full live performance of all the songs on the album and its amazing, especially cancer and sleep, they send chills down my spine
What about The Black Parades three hidden bonus tracks on their exclusive album? “My Way Home Is Through You (B-side)” “Kill All Your Friends (B-Side)” And “Heaven Help Us (B-side)”? Three excellent songs
Wait what! Famous last words is one of the bests. Must agree with most of your top tho, great ranking, I like your reviews. You should react to the black parade b-sides and Conventional weapons maybe
(I'm Italian, sorry for my pizza English) Hey Brad, your reactions and reviews are so damn good,it made me listen to music genres that I never thought I would like. Even if I know that there are so many people asking you to do this I genuinely want to see a "I brought you my bullets you brought me your love" review by you. You are certainly not gonna like the whole thing but a few songs will make you not regret doing this.
Disenchanted is really underrated It's actually one of my favorite song, but not a lot of people even the Killjoys really enjoy this song or even talk about a lot.
As someone in the MCR fandom, I will be the first to say that yes, a good 95% of people in the fandom are cringey. However, those are the same people that followe their music solely for the aesthetic and history it has being "emo". People I know who consider themselves MCR fans or even in the fandom who are not cringey are the same ones who appreciate Radio Head, Coldplay, Gorillaz, and a lot of the other really revolutionary bands. Also, the cringey fans are always, without failure, the ones who argue Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge is their best album when it's really not compared to the Black Parade. I would also argue that I think focusing too much on Three Cheers and trying to label it their best albums applies way more to the side of "emo" versus the Black Parade. Three Cheers was about anger, growing up different, and feeling like an outcast, juveline things. The Black Parade is about death, the afterlife, regret, and valuing life for what it is while we have it, adult themes. You can honestly tell so much about the fans in the fandom by how they label and treat the Black Parade, it's in no way, shape, or form an emo album. It's what I consider to be the rock opera of the 2000s, maybe even the 2010s, and is so universal it will always be appreciated by music fans across generations.
15:20 The screaming is actually necessary, according to one persons theory of The Black Parade. The screaming is actually the Parader celebrating the Patients life as he guides the Patient to the Black Parade, AKA the afterlife. Also, Mama is the Paraders back story, and how he died in either World War I or II, and the only reason he (the patient) sees him as the Parader, not a soldier, is because the Patient is recalling the story his father told him as a boy in his final moments. Also also, I Don’t Love You is the Patients last ditch effort to make his lover hate him so she isn’t devastated when he ultimately passed. Ill edit this comment when I find it again, which will be very soon, most likely Edit: Its The Hidden Story of the Back Parade created by Wendigoon
Tbh the Black Parade is one of my favorite albums, and I completely understand how you feel about the ending. A couple weeks ago you reacted to Palaye Royale in a livestream, and I honestly feel like you didn't give them a fair time so you need to react to their first album Boom Boom Room Side A and their second album Boom Boom Room Side B that comes out the 28th.
my personal ranking: 1. welcome to the black parade (1000/10) 2. i don't love you (10+/10) 3. the sharpest lives (10/10) 4. famous last words (9+/10) 5. house of wolves (9/10) 6. mama (9-/10) 7. disenchanted (8+/10) 8. cancer (8/10) 9. sleep (8-/10) 10. this is how i disappear (8-/10) 11. teenagers (8-/10) 12. dead (7+/10) 13. blood (7/10) 14. the end (7-/10)
I love how you gave your honest opinion and described how the songs make you feel. I agree and disagree on some of the things you said but I appreciate this review ! also, when will you do a Frank Iero and the Patience “Stomachaches” review/reaction?
I love Famous Last Words because it feels like they really thought about what their fans (mostly depressed young people) might need to hear. I feel like it might have been almost irresponsible to end an album like this on a dark note. And as uncomfortable as overly optimistic songs usually make me, this songs really pulls off *hope* in a way that feels genuine imo, and ties the whole album together.
So happy to see this in my notifs! Gave me a lot of laughs before bed. Loved it. For me, my top 5 is almost exactly the same as yours but replace sleep with house of wolves. Cancer surprised me with how much it effected me at not even 3 minutes long, definitely one of my faves.
The concluding song should have been just never ending pure insanity. Like a ten minute mix between Sleep and House Of Wolves but it just has no predictability and regretful yelling in the background that you can barley hear because it is blocked out by him having no apologies and that he'd rather be in hell than heaven and that he's happy where he has been sent.

i believe that it’s completely true when brad said that this album is completely looked over or undermined because of the cringey kids that it attracts. i absolutely adore this album and wish more people would give it a listen.
sorry if my comment got lost in the last videos, but- i love love love your editing style :) .. oh, and the reviews are good too. 🖤🖤
I’m surprised how little love Sleep gets in the fandom considering how great it sounds and how integral it is to the concept’s story
Finally! I have been preaching that Sleep is the best song off of the album for years. It is a lyrical, and instrumental masterpiece. I'm glad that you agree with me.
I'm a big mcr fan but for me, sleep is a little cringy. Mama, that's THE best.
@@celestica8474oddly enough I feel the complete opposite haha
i might be biased because of the lyrics, but famous last words is so motivational and emotional to me that whenever i go through anything, it helps me cry it out and gives me the small push to keep going. i feel that watching it live and screaming “i am not afraid to keep on living” alongside the band and thousands of fans would be so euphoric but that’s just me lol
i really hope you get that experience one day! i had it in may and it’s something i’ll never ever forget, you’re completely right
@@zeroara thank you so much!! you’re so lucky 😭 i live in southeast asia so my chances aren’t the highest for a tour but i’m keeping my fingers crossed!!
Oh my god, if you listened to Mama’s background vocals, you’d be horrified, but in the BEST WAY, OH MY GODDD
I actually do really enjoy Blood haha
Yeah, I know this is a late reply, but I agree with Brad on so many things in this video except FLW. The ending with all the "asleep or DEAAAAADDDDD!!!!!!" stuff is awesome and I think its a great way to finish off the album. I do agree with him, however, that they do ruin the guitar riff near the start with the "so many bright lights to cast a shadow" as its a bit of a weak follow up to the great guitar riff but otherwise, I think its awesome.
Still want that Danger Days part 2...
Holy shit you're right that never happened
He said he wasn't going to sadly, he really disliked it :(
On his twitter he said he might finish an album reaction he never finished, so maybe.
I just want a Destroya reaction tbh

@@stardaboi8944 to be fair, a lot of the songs on tbp are just as good as wttbp. But this is how I disappear at 11? Unforgivable
Mama is easily their best song
True. Btw I'm subscribed to you
Billy Cobb Hi Billy! Your father still on his 132 minutes?
Ehhh I'd say dead personally but mama and sleep are close
"This is How I Disappear" is just more epic and catchy for me personally but "Mama" is amazing nonetheless.

Every time I go back to watch your reaction of The Black Parade every once in a while, it makes me give the appreciation it most definitely deserves. Having another view on it makes me remember all the little details in this album. This truly, to me, is one of the greatest albums I’ve ever heard
About your name, Is it a play on
Bad Taste in Music or Rad Taste in Music?
Ah ok
This is the series that I've been wanting Jon from ARTV to do for a really long time, glad you made it
The fandom is wired and (like in most fandoms) sometimes cringey, but most of the fandom is just very passionate about the band and sad, because they will not come back together and we lost our favorite band...
This is Me commenting to say they’re coming back
Fun fact they’re back lul
Mama and sleep are the two songs that made me fall in love with mcr
conventional weapons, pls bro okey ?
"This is not emo" 2007 My Chemical Romance fans wholeheartedly agree with you on that. It only became 'cool' to identify as 'emo' after MCR broke up.
personally there is two perspectives i get from famous last words, the first one is that at the end the patient have redeemed himself from his sins after going through this trip of soul observation and past regrets the previous songs offered, he feels forgiven and pure therefore he was ready to live what ever time he had left on the earth. i also like to think that he was out of consciousness and he really believed that he was dead and was seeing points in his life play in front of him especially the very bad ones like when he was a soldier at war, when he was an alcoholic and when he felt alienated from society(teenagers) after this big journey of redemption he wakes up and realizes that he isn’t dead and life has given him another chance:
“am not afraid to keep on living
I am not afraid to walk this world alone”
“Nothing you can say can stop me going home”
this gives a sign that the patient didn’t die or at least kept fighting his illness instead of giving up to it like in the beginning of the album where he was vulnerable and ready to go.
“Awake and unafraid
Asleep or dead”
this leaves the ending open we don’t know if he lived or died but at least we know that he fought the good fight, maybe he kissed his loved ones after all and died peacefully with them surrounding him and not turned away.
it also made me feel like the protagonist came to peace with his illness, realized that it had good in it, because had he not gotten it he wouldn’t ever review his life and observe past mistakes and change as a person
at least this is my interpretation of the song sorry for rambling on for too long but i really really love this track and how open it is to different interpretations.
they"re all amazing songs..no ranks for the album black parade
greatest masterpiece of the 21st century 👌
Hey... Bro...
When's the MCR "I Brought My Bullets" Review/Reaction ??
Just saying, i think you're gonna like it
IT'S EXPLOSIVE AF!!!!!
Greatings!!!!
It's explosive in a bad way though... Gerard sounds awful in this album when he's screaming which is 90% of the time
MysticManiac100 That's why I love the album lol he sounds so crazy
So you're basically repeating 3:58?
Well it doesn't sound garbage to me, so
I don't think he would like it though, I don't really either.
Disenchanted was my favorite track... RIPPPPPP
I love it too...
Lol Disenchanted and Famous Last Words would be up at the top in my ranking! I love the lyrics just so much. Totally respect any ranking though. Happy to hear you loved the album!
HAVE NOT WATCHED YET, BUT THANK U
I thought I was the only one who loved Sleep, everyone always talks about it being the worst on the album because of its slow pacing in the beginning but dude, its intensity and explosive chorus not to mention the creepy recordings of Gerards nightmares just 🙌

Great ranking ! my top 3 is Sleep, Mama and House of Wolves
editing god = Bradley, totally agree with sleep at number 1, its such an unforgiving track, if you haven't seen it then maybe react to 'the black parade is dead! (full) my chemical romance' its a full live performance of all the songs on the album and its amazing, especially cancer and sleep, they send chills down my spine
I really like these kind of videos where you just talk about albums that you love. The editing was really superb as well.
Honestly man House of Wolves is really great, it should've been ranked higher imo
OMG, what an amazing top 4 (yes, top 4, especially considering the song's section you picked to introduce it)!
So glad you have Mama and Sleep as #1 and #2. I think I'd probably have them the other way round, but they're 100% the best two.
Disenchanted is really underrated
It's actually one of my favorite song, but not a lot of people even the Killjoys really enjoy this song or even talk about a lot.
React to In Utero by Nirvana!
Ill edit this comment when I find it again, which will be very soon, most likely
Edit: Its The Hidden Story of the Back Parade created by Wendigoon
I love that this album is finally being called rock and not emo.
Also your reaction to The 1975s self titled album would be cool to see
You deserve so many more subscribers man, I love your content
I wonder what the ending of the album would sound like if they switched disenchanted and teenagers.
Though Famous Last Words is my favourite song in the album, I understand your problems with it
Tbh the Black Parade is one of my favorite albums, and I completely understand how you feel about the ending. A couple weeks ago you reacted to Palaye Royale in a livestream, and I honestly feel like you didn't give them a fair time so you need to react to their first album Boom Boom Room Side A and their second album Boom Boom Room Side B that comes out the 28th.
my personal ranking:
1. welcome to the black parade (1000/10)
2. i don't love you (10+/10)
3. the sharpest lives (10/10)
4. famous last words (9+/10)
5. house of wolves (9/10)
6. mama (9-/10)
7. disenchanted (8+/10)
8. cancer (8/10)
9. sleep (8-/10)
10. this is how i disappear (8-/10)
11. teenagers (8-/10)
12. dead (7+/10)
13. blood (7/10)
14. the end (7-/10)
Did he review bullets or is he going to? Idk if it makes him mad but it'd be awesome if he did
He may as well react to bullets just to get it out of the way because everyone is just gonna keep bothering him about it lol
Also it's a beautiful album and Genesis of the bands sound
So, I think House Of Wolves is in First Place
Oh...it’s not

I subconsciously think about iCarly every time I listened to Dead! so I’m really glad you pointed that out about the drum pattern lol
Conventional weapons I'm still waiting
another amazing video, keep doing your work! 💕
I'm going to try to reorganize the album according to what you said.. after watching your first reaction for a third time lol
yessss i've been waiting for this for ages thank you for doing brad mate you absolute legend
I'm glad you called this a rock album. It's so more more rock than emo. You can hear the queen and pink Floyd influences quite a bit
The concluding song should have been just never ending pure insanity. Like a ten minute mix between Sleep and House Of Wolves but it just has no predictability and regretful yelling in the background that you can barley hear because it is blocked out by him having no apologies and that he'd rather be in hell than heaven and that he's happy where he has been sent.
sleep really should have been the last song in the album
drinking game, take a shot every time he says "eargasmic"
So thats like 4 shots?
disenchanted is my favorite song of this album.
welp.
This is the first time I have seen Sleep in the top 5, much less at 1 and I completely agree with your ranking of it
