Smithereens is about Tyler’s wife, Jenna. he always has some song about her in his albums, so when he says “you know i had to do it”, its saying that we know that he just had to keep up that sweet tradition
Well he doesn’t always have a song about Jenna on the albums. Really the only other song that’s about Jenna is Tear in my Heart. I don’t mean to come off rude.
My Singing Bowgart they started doing it on Blurryface cause before the Blurryface album, was when they got married and that was when he started making songs for Jenna.

Neon Gravestones is about people glorifying suicide instead of life and the public’s reaction to celebrity death. If he gave up and killed himself, he’d get a lot of attention. It has a really important message and I’d recommend looking at the lyrics again.
I wish he would look more into Neon Gravestones cause I feel like he kinda gets it, but I'm not sure how much he does. He might, but I feel he didn't say so in the video. I feel like it's all about how suicide is so glorified nowadays, how we remember people for their suicide, when that should not be the case. We should remember them for their life and what they have done. And that he won't respect a suicide for attention, and that that's not how you should try to get attention. You can't say that they glorify suicide after this song, or even this album in general, cause it's doing quite the opposite. THIS whole album kinda seems more like feeling better about yourself, and exposing these insecurities that a lot of people have, and that you shouldn't be so affected by them. That's my take on it.
@@BradTasteInMusicOfficial I see, it definitely is different than their other albums for sure, cause they seem a lot more like spoken poetry at times. Im glad you got it though, it just didn't seem like it in the vid unless I missed it. I'm sure you were cutting for time though. It brought out a lot of the negatives in their other albums for me. I've been skipping every Regional At Best song, and self titled for the most part. Vessel I still like and will listen, and I just kinda have my personal reasons for Blurryface. I can see the issues with it though. I just have honestly only listened to top for the longest time, so thats kinda crazy to think about for me. And Smithereens was written for his wife, and there's a few nods in Morph dealing with it too. And if you don't know already, Legend was written for his grandfather. Sorry I typed so much, I always have a lot to say. I really like this style though, so if you have other albums to reccomend for me, I'd be glad cause I've been needing to find something else other than these guys, as much as I like em.

@@namekssjgoku If you haven't already, try Jon Bellion, it's crazy yet beautiful music. I like irobot the best, but he's pretty good. And the way he makes his music is awesome. I know you weren't asking me, but I thought I would help. Especially since I had the same problem trying to find another artist other than TOP that would rattle my heart and make me really think, or at times stop me from thinking. TOP was always my first thing to play when I drove. Their music helped me through some very dark times and I for a long time couldn't listen to anything else. Plus I love poetry and that's what really connected with me. Funny enough my favorites are Ode to sleep, Migraine, Car Radio, neon gravestones, and leave the city. But I've grown to love all of them in some way or another. Oh another is Icon for hire. They really talk about the real instead of love or heartbreak, or anything else that I personally feel is overdone at times. It's why I don't listen to the radio much. i keep coming back to this video because, as much fun as it is to hear him respectfully rip into my favorite songs that have saved my life, there’s something so much better about hearing their hard work appreciated. i 100% agree that trench just sounds more mature and grown up. the vocals are much better and the production is completely blown out of the water. this album is mind blowingly amazing
That's what one year of hiatus does. With Trench, people respect twenty one pilots even more. Even though they blew up with Blurryface, they took their time to create good music instead of just makinh crappy music to sell out.
i feel so satisfied watching him do a 180 from when he first reacted to and reviewed a twenty one pilots project, just makes me so so intensely content.
im so happy he mentioned how good the production was cus Tyler only used one producer and produced most of trench himself compared to Blurryface where he used four producers!
the Dema lore is what made me a bigger fan of twenty one pilots tbh, I got recommended a video about the Clancy lore from the website and then I binged a whole bunch of videos talking about it and I was in awe of how well they were crafting a story and mystery behind the music they were making.
I'm curious if your opinion on Neon Gravestones would change if you listened to it with the idea of suicide and celebrity suicide in mind. To me, that is what the song is about.

Glad you could post asap! waiting for part 2
i keep coming back to this video because, as much fun as it is to hear him respectfully rip into my favorite songs that have saved my life, there’s something so much better about hearing their hard work appreciated. i 100% agree that trench just sounds more mature and grown up. the vocals are much better and the production is completely blown out of the water. this album is mind blowingly amazing
That's what one year of hiatus does. With Trench, people respect twenty one pilots even more. Even though they blew up with Blurryface, they took their time to create good music instead of just makinh crappy music to sell out.
"hes done [this eminem flow] on previous songs, like for example his song 'snap back to reality' from vessel"
i feel so satisfied watching him do a 180 from when he first reacted to and reviewed a twenty one pilots project, just makes me so so intensely content.
Tyler Joseph classic quotes :
-Don't trust a perfect person and don't trust a song thats flawless
-We are twenty one pilots
-WAWAEAAAAEAEAWEAWAAA
im so happy he mentioned how good the production was cus Tyler only used one producer and produced most of trench himself compared to Blurryface where he used four producers!
hyped for the video but nervous
"It's got NF syndrome, it just sounds really white white white...." I died at this part
Wow... I just binged all your TØP videos, and the growth & transformation from ‘hater’ to ‘fan/stan’ is AMAZING 😫😍👏🏽
I finally found someone that doesn’t just react to the music, they go more in depth. Thank you! 😂👍
YES FINALLY THIS WAS ALL I COULD THINK ABOUT TODAY
Others: Know everything about Dema, bishops and all the Trench stuff
Brad: There's Nico... That name's brought up...
the Dema lore is what made me a bigger fan of twenty one pilots tbh, I got recommended a video about the Clancy lore from the website and then I binged a whole bunch of videos talking about it and I was in awe of how well they were crafting a story and mystery behind the music they were making.
I'm curious if your opinion on Neon Gravestones would change if you listened to it with the idea of suicide and celebrity suicide in mind. To me, that is what the song is about.
dude neon gravestones is about glorifying suicide
Honestly I really didn’t like TØP at first but after Trench I fell in love
That album was really well done
Neon Gravestones is about how suicide is glorified these days and some people kill themselves for attention or 'revenge'
Your the only reviewer for Twenty Øne Piløts I can actually respect, most of them are like, “Oh it’s TØP, I love no matter hw bad it is, and if you have an opinion other than mine, I hate you and blah blah blah blah.” Your the only one I have found giving ACTUAL CRITIQUE! So yes, I love your review, and keep having a Brad taste in music!
(Yeah that joke is brad)
(I mean bad)
NeverMindGaming Yeah, it’s cuz I’m a dude 😋
