Hello all
My dog named "candy" was affected by parvo viruse and now he is suffering with canine distemper disease..
The doctor who treated suggested not to feed him anything now he is week and affected with nervous system...the other vet said that should be given all the necessary food and water so he won't be week and affected by canine distemper...
One misguide will play with life he is 75 days old.i am in pain

Dr sab what is the main differntial diagnose btw CPV and Canine Distemper?
Because both of these have almost the same clinical signs
You can go for kit tests or ELISA based tests to confirm.
In distemper virus, dog's pads will become hard and coarse. Dog will open and close its mouth involuntarily. Some dogs also start trembling and get episodes of involuntary muscle twitches, often seen in the hind legs. Some dogs also have green mucous like discharge around their nose and eyes. In CPV these symptoms do not occur.

@@hethikasreedharan.737 Oh I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm not a professional vet so I won't be able to give you a proper medical advice. But there's a medicine in homeopathy 'distempernium potency 200', you must try it. Also give your dog immunity boosting medicine along with turmeric and basil to protect respiratory and digestive system. Make sure your dog gets adequate water. If he's not drinking, you'll have to keep him on drip to provide electrolytes externally. If your puppy is lucky he might survive. This disease generally don't occur if the dog is vaccinated properly. Next time you adopt a dog, get him vaccinated as soon as possible. If your vet is not able to save the puppy, try some other experienced vet. I wish you luck!

Whatever you are, the same comes to you. The more one lives happily the more happiness comes to him. The more miserably one lives, the more miseries come to him. Because whatever we create in our being is attracted towards us.
