@@aditi__rajputt As explained in the video, even a scratch is enough to transmit the virus. Although the chances are negligible but we won't take any chance.

@@bangtanboys690 It doesnt matter how small the quantity may be, even a scratch without any blood is sufficient for the infection to pass.... in your scenario your pup is too small to have rabies.

Symptoms can come as early as 2 months and as late as 2 years and even beyond that.

Rabies virus grow rapidly in anaerobic conditions. If we cover the wound it will create anaerobic conditions.

Although you don't need to worry about Rabies. But i ll suggest you to take Vaccination as a prevention.

You were late for the vaccination and it is a matter of concern. Just follow the complete post bite vaccination schedule.
My puppy is 96 days old and usne mujhe phir se halka sa teeth se touch kiya hai and isse 3-4 weeks pehle usne scratch kiya tha toh maine 3 doses (0,3,7 days) lagwa liye the. Toh kya mujhe worry karne ko need hai ya mujhe extra 2 shots lagwane ki need hai ki nahi. Abhi mera puppy unvaccinated hai and usse Abhi 9 days baad lagenga rabies shot. Also mera dog ek baar bhi bahar nahi gaya hai ghar mai he hai jab se aaya hai and usse humne 2.5 months ka tha tab liya tha.
Kindly continue your vaccinations. just observe him for 20 to 25 days. If he behaved normal then you don't have to worry about anything.
Thank you sir for your reply. Sir mera 14 days waala dose miss ho gaya and aaj 28 days ho gaye last time jab usne scratch kiya tha. Also, iss beech mai dog bahar nahi gaya kahin bhi and abhi fit and normal hai toh iss case mai kya mai kya karna sahi rahenga. Kal usne halka sa tooth lagaya koi scratch and blood nahi aaya bas halka sa pain hai kyunki joint pai hai. Please sir suggest karo kya best rahenga

Yes, Its necessary to take vaccine. As rabies can easily be preventable with vaccine but there is no cure for the disease, once it occurs.

A pup who has taken milk from a vaccinated mother.... In initial days of a pup's life.... Is protected from rabies for 3 months.... So if a puppy bites or scratches, you need not to worry....
