Nice! Pizza tip: sprinkle cheese thicker on the outermost part of the pizza dough by the crust and thinner toward the middle! Cheese always gravitates towards the center... this will prevent the cheese from building up at the center and from pulling away from your edges! Much more even coverages 🤤

just got an air fryer and totally love it - am excited to see you using one and hope you do more videos with it. one my favorite things to make: plop FROZEN chicken legs in air fryer - set 400% for 30 min (flip half way) - while HOT generously coat with favorite bbq sauce and let rest for 10 minutes - the heat turns the sauce into a sticky glaze. so easy & good

tbh i only use the air fryer to reheat fried foods, microwaved french fries aren’t great, and sure you can heat them up in an oven or a pan with a little oil, but if you can’t go through all that, put it in an air fryer for maybe 3-5 minutes and it turns out just as good. it reheats food amazingly.

On the strength of your demonstration of The Habor Air Fryer you tested last year, with chicken, I purchased one as a Christmas present for my wife. I am not joking, nor am I sorry! You are an excellent presenter, and the Habor Air Fryer is The Bomb!! My wife loves it because she gets to watch me prepare meals on this thing. She hardly ever uses it. These are some of the dishes I've prepared to date: grilled cheese sandwiches, cheeseburgers, steak, Tator Tots, French fries, Chicken wings, Chicken Thighs using the KFC "secret recipe" of "11 secret herbs and spices", and a variety of sandwiches too numerous to mention. Everything was better out of this air fryer. Not just grease-free, but much more flavorful. All I can say is: Thank-You!

Hi Larry, I don’t remember if I commented on this video before or not, but yes I love my air fryer! It cooks everything great, I’ve never cooked something in it I wasn’t satisfied with, I recently upgraded to the largest air fryer basket I could find, and it has an insert kit that has many things like a cake pan, mini omelet/muffin pan, a cooling rack, and a pizza pan, and they’re all great and where all together on amazon for $15
Anyway, love your content, hope you can continue so we can all enjoy cooking and beer together

Yes Larry, they cook about 20 to 50% faster than a conventional oven. Smaller space and forced air convection does the job well and fast. The Power Air Fryer XL is the model I have. Looks like a big red egg. It has a true electric heating element coil. (Not some weak ass Halogen Quartz light).
I have fallen in love with it too. As for longevity, I have had it for about 2yrs. and It's still working fine.

The Gourmia one from Costco put the steak on the middle rack from frozen preheat it with the steak on the rack flip halfway through depending on the thickness you can tell if it's done. A inch and a half tenderloin was about 17 mins. Chicken Cordon Blue the frozen put the cheese side down cook for 7 30 mins flip it for the remainder 7 30 comes out good. Burgers 4mins a side. Scallops is 3 mins. Natchos 4 mins but layer with parchment paper. Chicken pieces season or bread it's about 20 mins flip halfway through.

You mentioned that the air fryers cook faster! Yes they are you need to low the temperature and time. Why? Because the air flows around all the food. Cooking basically on both sides at the same time. Can be flip to get even crispness. The top is where the heat comes from so it is hotter on top. I was really pleased to see you are happy with the air fryer. Mine is a GoWise. I think most of them are great. Thanks for your ideas. How about steak and bake potatoes?

I bought one of those air fryers on your recommendation and it is indeed fantastic. I have retired my oil fryer which was hard to maintain anyway. I will next try the pizzas.

My "friend" once cooked a steak on the oven rack when "he" had no cooking utensils, and ate it without silverware. Or so I heard.

Also agree on the shorter cooktimes. I have one for about a year now and cooked many things in it. Much healthier if u see how much grease comes out some food, while still tasting the same! Even some food that should go in a deepfryer normally, has come out good for me

Did you experience odd burnt "plastic" smell? Mine releases unpleasant odor when cooking with it.

I got an air fryer largely on your recommendation. I think it's basically the same one as yours, but mine does not have a big button. I have been happy with everything I've tried in it except one. I'll do the important observation first, and then write about my bad experience.
I was getting ready to toss out the heel slices from a loaf of whole wheat bread when I was inspired to add it to the unusable slices from the new French bread loaf, slice them into more or less equal sized cubes, toss them with some olive oil and Italian seasoning. (By 'more or less equal sized' I mean that the big ones were about three times the size of the small ones. By "cube" I mean they had at least one flat side.) I threw them in the air fryer and set the time for ten minutes at 350F. I opened it at the five minute mark and a quick test told me that my croutons were done. In retrospect, six minutes may have been a little better since some of the larger ones were somewhat bready in texture, but still I made awesome croutons out of something that I was ready to throw away.
Though not a disaster, I tried the air fried onion (reminiscent of the Outback Steakhouse bloomin' onion in the picture) from the cookbook that came with the device and was not happy with the result. In this case, it probably needed more time. Maybe I'll try it again sometime because it was sort of tasty, but the onion flavor was too strong. For that matter, the cookbook is sort of disappointing in general. There was a recipe for a peach crisp, but the instructions were comically awful and unusable. Perhaps I'll try to decipher them someday.
I tried frozen burritos, but the guide provided little help. The closest was spring rolls, which called for 20 minutes at 400F (I think). 15 minutes works better for frozen burritos, 20 minutes is a little too crispy, but perfectly okay and maybe what some would prefer.
Anyway, thanks for the tip. I too am now a believer having written it off as just another gimmick not so long ago.

Nice. So I am wondering if I should get the $50 mark down air fryer black-Friday/holidays over-done-with discount ($100 at target) or should I go ahead get like a $180 target air fryer?
