Chinese Railways - Steam Trains in Sandaoling with JS 2-8-2's in Coal Service, Last Steam in China

A 40 minute special of steam trains working hard out of the coal pit from Autumn 2018. Very little steam effects, but made up for with great sound and clear skies (I have never seen the Altai Shan mountain range clearer!)
Footage includes a cab ride into the coal loading point from Nanzhan.

This is basically the Chinese version of the Norfolk and Western because it was also a coal hauling railroad that kept up steam for a good amount of time, the railroad didn't dieselize until 1960 and even then they kept a few of their massive articulated locomotives on standby till 1965
