I followed this step by step. Phone worked perfect afterwards. I put it in water and still waterproof. Thanks so much for the video. I upgraded to the S20 Ultra, but the old S7 is still useful as a camera, calculator, bluetooth and wifi device etc. For those who thought he was a little heavy handed, he was fine. I worked as an Aerospace engineer for over 30 years and worked on a lot of electronics. He was fine I assure you, use him as a guide and do what you think you need to protect your device.

Pretty good video. Hardest part was getting the back off. If you are careful, you can save much of the water-proofing adhesive on the back. A couple suggestions. With phones, computers, cars, anything, they are highly, precisely engineered. If a piece doesn't fit easily, remove it and try again. Do not force a part! The part should fit in easily. When putting screws back in, turn them counterclockwise. They will click into place. You can feel this happen, and often hear it. Then you can turn the screw clockwise to tighten. This will keep you from cross-threading the screw. When you put the three cover parts back on, there are a few more steps than they show. Put the largest piece in first, but don't screw in tightly. That piece needs to interweave with the bottom part. On the left side, one tab on the bottom piece has to go under the larger piece, while one tab must go over the larger piece. On the bottom piece, these is a tab at the bottom that can be snapped into place by pushing on it. On the top piece, the top edge of the middle piece must go under the top piece. Also, I believe a tab on the top part has to go under the frame of the phone. Tighten the screws slightly as you put them in. Then tighten them at various opposite places, like putting a tire on your car. This will avoid one side being tighter than the other or stress put on one side.

Where can I get the adhesive? I went online and saw it on Ebay. Since I have a PO Box, they can't send it to me.
My son 7edge battery has had it will charge but wont hold it, so I need to replace the battery but I'm really nervous I'd break something would a external battery case work as a stop gap until he gets an upgrade next yr

How do you restore the water resistance? Looks like you've left it prone to water ingress without applying any means of sealing the phone?
Why is everyone so bothered about water resistance....note to yourself, don,t drop a phone in water and you wont have any issues! Can't imagine what you all done before water resistant technology came along.

I am in possession of a vevitts 918B hot plate. Can you assist me with getting the proper temperature to loosen the glue holding my Samsung Galaxy s7, s7 edge, and c700 cell phones in a way that is SAFE?
He put almost no adhesive so I doubt it's gonna be water resistant and the back might fall off but other than that amazing video

Very good video on S7 battery replacement! Simple and easy to follow. Just takes time and patience and some good optics will make the process 20X easier.
What will happen if you damage that black pad underneath the battery?
The guide to replace the battery is easy but you forgot to mention when using an instrument/object to prive up the battery there's a black strip under the battery that's the display an if scratched you see the marks on the display when phone comes on. So people please be careful when taking out or lifting up the battery with any instrument/object.

I changed my battery on the S7 edge and after assembling there is no signal. I checked again the components and they're all screwed on. Today I bout a new antenna and replaced it in the phone and still it doesn't work. What can it be? Please help me I don't know what to do.
check two little cables that comes from charging port are well connected where they belong

I checked them. All connected. Is it possible that the motherboard is damaged? But I didn't touched it when I changed the battery. How could the antenna break.

Note to self: Don't let this guy anywhere near my phone. The way he rips it apart, with screws and the plastic antenna pieces fly all around makes me shudder. He's brutal. Be gentle if you attempt this yourself.

I'm sorry but this seems like a really terrible idea. Not only does it seem like it's possible to damage the internals of the phone, but there's no way the phone's ability to be water resistant is retained after this process.
Well you made the.battery chsnge look easy! Not for me so guess Ill be replacing the phone! Bummer!
