I hate it, i just hate it, give us back the easy removable batterys, this is just bullshit.
Excellent video. You convinced me that I should never try this.
It's pretty obvious why they make the batteries non-removeable. If you think about it.
I will trade waterproofing for a removable battery any day of the week.
Thank you so much!!! I watched this before ordering a new battery in case I didn't think I could do it, but your video helped me so much. I was able to replace the battery no problem, You're a life saver or rather a phone saver. It's so nice to have my Galaxy back. Thank you, thank you, thank you xxx
Number 1 recommendation when you replace the battery is to TEST OUT THAT IT WORKS BEFORE SCREWING the screws on.
I can't believe Samsung decided to make their batteries non-removable like Apple.
My life is surrounded by chargers now...5 chargers at home, 1 at work, charger in the car... phone drops 25% battery life in 1 hour (S7). For a wireless device I feel like I have to be wired for a lot of fucking time...
Pretty good video. Hardest part was getting the back off. If you are careful, you can save much of the water-proofing adhesive on the back. A couple suggestions. With phones, computers, cars, anything, they are highly, precisely engineered. If a piece doesn't fit easily, remove it and try again. Do not force a part! The part should fit in easily. When putting screws back in, turn them counterclockwise. They will click into place. You can feel this happen, and often hear it. Then you can turn the screw clockwise to tighten. This will keep you from cross-threading the screw. When you put the three cover parts back on, there are a few more steps than they show. Put the largest piece in first, but don't screw in tightly. That piece needs to interweave with the bottom part. On the left side, one tab on the bottom piece has to go under the larger piece, while one tab must go over the larger piece. On the bottom piece, these is a tab at the bottom that can be snapped into place by pushing on it. On the top piece, the top edge of the middle piece must go under the top piece. Also, I believe a tab on the top part has to go under the frame of the phone. Tighten the screws slightly as you put them in. Then tighten them at various opposite places, like putting a tire on your car. This will avoid one side being tighter than the other or stress put on one side.
this was super useful! thank you for sharing this tutorial, it was really informative and helped me fix my wife's phone easily.
Thanks for your instruction video. I followed it and successfully replaced my battery, and it saved me a good chunk of money!
After trying without success for a long time to connect the new battery after placing it in its location, I reversed those two steps: connected the new battery, then positioned the battery. I had a hard time stretching the battery cable and positioning it on its connection. Other than that, your procedure worked flawlessly for me. I had tried another procedure where a blade was used to pry off the back, but found your method much easier, using the suction cup. Thanks!
poorly assembled i used to love the easy way they put together gs3 gs4
Thanks for this video. I've changed a few cell phone batteries in the past, but wow! They really have that battery sealed deep inside. It's like they don't WANT people to remove it.
Thanks so much for your video. I was able to change the battery on my S7 last night & now it's working perfectly
Thank you so much, this video saved me a lot of money. I did everything you showed on this video and now my phone is up and running again.
I had to pop in and say good job on this video. Definitely something I can take on if/when needed.
Thanks to your help I have now fixed my Galaxy S7.
Simple, clear and informative. Thanks alot.
Thanks for everything. Wonderful job. Now I can watch it while I actually do it!
