You are 100% right to take a holiday! Glad your back. I keep asking it ; Is an engine room tour a possibility this season? If the chief engineer is bitching tell him I am an engineer myself. That’s why I ask.... 😁
Hey since you're reading the comments Jared, I wanted to thank you so much for your videos and the content you post to TH-cam. You give such amazing insight into your job, I love how detailed you are when you take us on trips through the lower cabins and have showed us places other people don't even think exists on Yachts. You're a great person for sharing your life with the rest of us the way that you do! So thank you again ^_^
Such a special comment. Thank you so much for saying all that. There is not a single job on the planet that I care about more than sharing with this community. Your comment and the willingness to take time out of your day to watch my videos will always amaze me. So THANK YOU!
Don't listen to the negative crew that have struggled to find jobs. Let them remain negative. Form a routine that is manageable and stick to it everyday. Network everywhere you go. Listen and dont get defensive when asked to do something or asked WHY you did something. Simply listen and learn ... aka be teachable.
Hi Jared, I’ve followed you since the beginning and still have a great deal of respect and enthusiasm for what you’re doing I’ve decided that I’m going to try my luck this April on super yachts, but was just wondering where I would have the best chance in regards of finding work. Thanks keep up the good work 👌👍
Glad you’re back uploading, I’ve missed the videos! Could you do a detailed video of how you got into yachting, and how you managed to start filming these notoriously private boats?
Yes 100% There will come a time where I move back into freelance creating and will then go back and create a small series on how I got here. It wont be long till I break down the full story. I have wanted to tell it for a while now.
Hi Jared I love watching your videos. I really like boats and they are my thing. Keep doing what your doing because it is amazing. Can you give me some advice on how to work on a super yacht.

When I was driving our tender into the Atlantis marina during Christmas week, the first time I saw the yacht Quantum of Solace I thought it was Daniel Craig yacht, but I know it’s not
Hey mate, been a huge fan from day 1. How much more difficult is it becoming to land jobs as a green crew as port security tightens, I know some locations don’t allow the general public onto docks now so how can prospective crew hunt out their first job?
We all struggle to get into places. Once you are in though, there are fewer people looking. You need to consider, dockwalking is a way of networking. Meet and hang out with as many yacht crew as you can. Crew houses, events, bars etc. It all helps.
Hope you had a good break. I also love Barcelona off season. Had some great times in early December. Weather still great, but Christmas market. Did you see my recommendation a few months back, about raking Becs to Cera 23? Did you get to do it while you were there?

What are you all capable of handling? What eductation do you all have?
... and most importantly: what have you all experienced?
Also, what are the instructions that guests get, regarding emergencies?

Yachting is an incredible means of allowing you to buy some time in life. It allows you to save and learn. It allows you to be dedicated and to eat sh*t for a while. It teaches you to work hard and to be patient and understanding. After a while yacht crew decide to either take it on and be a captain or use it to get them to the next stage of their life.
Here is the part many of you probably wouldn’t expect to read. Yachting has ALWAYS been a stepping stone for me. I have founded two businesses with saved money from yachting. I have made it the topic of my youtube channel because there are lots about it that I absolutely LOVE but working as crew will not be one of them forever. My next phase will still be very yachting focused but not having youtube take the backseat.
How often does the owner use their yacht? Is it chartered out the rest of the time? Thanks, loving the channel.
Hard to say as we have only just met him for the first time. Otherwise yes, mainly for charter.
