Dave Edmunds never gets enough credit in my opinion.

Chuck Berry wrote this song, and released it in 1964 on his "St. Louis to Liverpool" album. Elvis recorded his version of the song in 1974.

@@Lilly8Listens By 1964 both the Beatles and the Stones had recorded Chuck Berry songs and Liverpool (via the Beatles) had become the New Mecca of rock'n'roll. Chuck Berry's music was very influential on early British rock'n'roll, and with a 1964 album entitled "St Louis to Liverpool", Chuck was understandably "capitalising".

Don't know if you ever listen to Irish music but I found one I really like. It was written by Stephen Foster in 1854 Called "Hard Times Come Again No More" and was sung by Tommy Fleming. Found here on youtube "Hard Times - Tommy Fleming". One of the best versions of this old song I've ever heard. Stephen "an American poet/song writer" wrote many tunes in the 1800's that are still heard today. Not asking you to react to it, just have a listen....Cheers.

Wow this is a new one on me. I like it. Sounds very 50s although another poster says it's from 1964.

Hahahaha, I love you expected Lily to remember his name
When you first said you'll recognise him, I half expected it to be you 😂

I saw that you like songs from the 60s, so I recommend "i only want to be with you" by dusty springfield, and "you don't have to say you love me" by the same person.
otherwise the concept of this channel is very cool I think

Lilly, Dave's look has changed a lot over time, not recognizing him is understandable. Fun song. Good reaction. Steve, think Chuck Berry wrote it, not positive. Enjoy your day both

Lilly had clearly never seen an accordion before. 😀 What makes me laugh is that when you put yourself out there in TH-cam land it makes you doubt everything you say. There's me telling Lilly " I think it's an accordion" when of course it's a bloody accordion, but you always have that small doubt in your mind that somebody in the comments is going to say, I can see why you thought it was an accordion, because it does look like one, but actually it's a maraudion. 😄😄

I can see why you thought it was an accordion, because it does look like one, but actually it's not a maraudion either, it's an art-deco pre-stressed semi-detached Brutopian Zarkulator. Most were wiped out by nuclear fallout in the last interplanetary war between Earth and the planet Tumbabumpa in 1947 (which was covered up by the authorities); the remaining few instruments are very valuable and are usually passed off as accordions to deter burglars.

I agree Bill, but sometimes people make the video of the artists very small in an attempt to keep it up on TH-cam.

Common Lilly your not doing your homework even i knew it was Noel Edmonds. Andy Fairweather is a very talented songwriter his band was Amen corner there big hit was if Paradise was half as nice well worth a listen.

There, you see, I knew that these people don't just appear from nowhere and get a song like Wide Eyed and Legless into the charts. I did not know that he was part of Amen Corner, but I do really like the song If Paradise is half as nice.

No it isn't. If we want to see the artists we can watch the original videos. This channel is called Lilly Listens because it is all about Lilly and her reactions and therefore Lilly should be on the main screen.
