- One year has passed since Chris Forsberg last visited Z1, and in our usual style, we offered him a car to put through its paces. This time around, it was our Z1/TwinZ Supercharged 370Z's turn to shine. It goes without saying that Chris thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

what exhaust?
I like this kit but its hard to understand why Z1 completely skips over the important stuff like the torque numbers, the reliability, automatic transmission options, etc.
Reliability? Lmao its a VHR. These do 700whp stock. Auto/6MT does not matter
@@LUV-Collectiveexcuse my lack of knowledge but does that mean the vhr in the z can take a turbo installed without having to do any engine rebuilding or can they just bolt right on?
Stock block and internals are good till like 700-800hp and the 7A/T can only handle 450lb-ft of torque so on this boost setup maybe 530hp-600hp on low boost to keep the torque numbers/stress down on the 7A/T
@@cedricmiller4370 It’s not the HP that kills Vhr motors, it’s the torque. Keep it right around or less than 500wtq and you’ll be good for a while. Only advice I’d recommend is changing the oil gallery gaskets before boosting. Very cheap added insurance.
@@UrLocalQ 800hp? Definitely not. 700 is about the max, provided your tuner is stellar. 650 is where most guys/gals cut off the HP. But as I replied to the other person…. It’s the torque that kills the motor. Not as much the HP.
Can you do that on a tune or do I need to install a switch that allows me to turn my yaw sensor on and off
Damn that sounds amazing. What is the max hp rating on this kit? Also besides the kit coming with everything needed to install, what makes this kit different from top guns or soho kit? Why should customers choose your kit over the competition?

Its a rotrex supercharger but they worked woth rotrex to ensure the compressor doesnt overspin and void the warranty like top guns kit does. If you have a newer z then its a bit of pita to install but doable
They posted one yesterday that made 720whp with 12.5:1 compression
Thanks, as mentioned by others we worked closely with Rotrex to make sure we could offer kits with the warranty. Our tuner recently broke 700 whp with his kit (he does have a bit of extra sauce on his though). Kits are available in “Tuner” config if doing your own fuel kit or “complete” with fueling solutions included. The install is straightforward (guides available online in each listing), and most users can do the physical install over a weekend. The supercharger bracket and head unit all come pre-assembled which is really nice, saves time and no guesswork. Tuning support is available with our level 3 package as well as tech support from our team. While we can appreciate any great boosted Z, our kits materials quality and construction, fit and finish is without a doubt the nicest available.

🤔Which option is best for how to choose “Ihave a non-Z1 EcuTek tune” or “no tune” for Nismo models?
You want an Ecutek tune. Z1 specifically spent time in their flash tune for this SC kit so it’s based more on reliability and streetable vs peak power, which I love and appreciate.

Admin Tuning makes a great turbo kit at around $7k which is a great option for people who rather have a turbo. This kit looks great for people wanting to super their VHR.

Stock engine on this one, body kit is by TwinZ design www.z1motorsports.com/twinz-design-m-169.html. It’s also equipped with touring exhaust, our S-spec lowering springs, Z1 forged front upper control arms, rear arms, lock out bolt kit, forged street BBK, Z1 ZM-23 wheels, Z1 sway Bars and end links, z1 oil cooler and Koyo Radiator. Z1 Clutch and flywheel handles the power to a Street Pro LSD. Inside it’s currently running the Z1 short shifter and touring knob. Since this video was shot we’ve added the rail-less fuel return kit and turned up the boost, we spent yesterday at Atlanta Motorsports park testing and tuning all day, and she really rips!

@@Z1Motorsports23 Can you please come up with a 12 lbs Flywheel with clatter damping, the 370 seriously lacks a lighter flywheel. I know you have a 14 lb but I'm looking for a 12 with damping. ZSpeed stopped making their 12.3 lb "quiet" flywheel (edit: And I emailed ZSpeed and they said no, they won't make any more. Which is ass)

What's the difference between the Complete Supercharger Kit versus the Supercharger Tuner Kit on the website? Do you need both?
Tuner kit allows you to source your own fueling like injectors, fuel pump, fuel return or anything else you want.
