Hello, John. What a great question! The answer to your question is no. You cannot prevent your residential address from being provided to Companies' House, as this is a statutory requirement. However, either during the incorporation process or afterward, you can apply for a section 243 exemption, which if accepted will lead to your address being suppressed from credit reference agencies - i.e. Companies House will possess it but will not be able to provide it to some third parties that they otherwise would do. It is worth noting that you usually need to provide a Court Order for a section 243 exemption to be accepted. I hope this helps. What other topics would you like to see from us?

I have registered my ltd uk company with someone my friend commercial address recently now approximately 3 months gone and they are not providing me UTR number so I am unable to access my company login dashboard on HMRC and unable to change my friend address to my virtual POA uk address So there anyway to get my UTR number online?

Can I change my trading address?? Setting up a company but won’t have an Actual address until we get approved for our premises. But we want to get the premises in the company’s name so the company needs to formed first 😅

Therefore there is no formal process to change a trading address, unless you are informing a government body of its change. We would recommend setting up the company first and use a professional address service for your company's registered office and director's service address - then you can change these later if necessary.
