Yeah - I don't know why they wrote Casey's story like that. Hitch declined to help Vance, but Vance, in his ire, still muttered an insult about Hitch, as if he did help him. He didn't even need Hitch's help anyway, since Casey was not willing to care about the obvious lie.
Sara also was defensive without much of an explanation - her boss and coworker made fun of her for going on a beach vacation by herself.
The actors are good in their character roles, but in general, they seem messy in their own lives.
