    This was a great instructional so thank you. I love that you mentioned scrubbing (if you have to) with the grain of the wood, plus cleaning the stains from glass, doors etc. I am convinced now to go purchase some of this product and clean my drab looking wooden deck.

    Nice! We put in a deck last year and wanting to give it a good cleaning before we stain it this summer. Thanks for the reminder!

    I use both of those and have good results. The glass cleaner is fantastic, its all I use unless needing to clean a large window, which I will use dishwasher spot free detergent, wipe on with a sponge and squeegee off.

    Your deck setup would benefit from a Shade Tree retractable canopy system. I love mine. It’s all stainless steel, powder coated aluminum and solar-resistant plastic. Had mine for 12 years and the Sunbrella canopies are still good.

    Wow! What a difference! Beautiful deck too BTW. Is it cedar or stained cedar?

    • @SilverLiningDayDreams
      @SilverLiningDayDreams  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks. It’s the ground contact treated lumber from Home Depot. They preasure treat it with micronized copper azole compounds and I believe they add a cedar tone colorant.

    Thanks for sharing--very helpful! We installed cedar columns that have not been stained and now have mold on them. I am gonna give this a try. I really hope it works!

    • @SilverLiningDayDreams

      Your welcome. Cedar is so beautiful; we just ripped, cut, sanded and put a water based polyurethane on some cedar this morning. Later this week we are going to install it on the slide in our camper.
      Hope everything cleans up well for you and gives you the look your looking for. Good Luck! 😊

    i got some of this today, and the nozzle did not let me do a fanning spray like yours. It was a just a single stream, and I ran out super quick.

    Did you build your deck yourself or was this the work of a contractor? The deck boards should be much more staggered and random length so as to break up the symmetry of having boards end on the same joist next to each other or just one board over

    • @SilverLiningDayDreams
      @SilverLiningDayDreams  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I built our deck. Yes, I agree with that and I’ve done that with decks I’ve built in the past. But because the deck is so large I really like the look of this with the long center boards. Thanks for leaving a comment with your opinion!

    • @tribalwind
      @tribalwind 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SilverLiningDayDreams okay cool that's good to hear. For a contractor it wouldn't be acceptable work but as a DIY project it's fine as long as you're happy with it. Beyond Aesthetics the primary reason it's important to stagger is that this gives the deck more strength and rigidity as all joints aren't on the same joists. However this deck being essentially ground level makes that less important. If this was a second story deck that definitely would be a problem and inspectors in my area would fail it

    My deck is I think painted like a grey color, will this product take off the paint? We don't want to repaint the whole thing this year

    • @SilverLiningDayDreams
      @SilverLiningDayDreams  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The website says it’s safe for painted surfaces, but personally I would test a smaller inconspicuous area first. Another key is to be sure to rinse it well afterward. Good question!

  • @dougdroen7519

    Would this work on a non treated plain wood like a non stand night stand that needs to b cleaned

    • @SilverLiningDayDreams
      @SilverLiningDayDreams  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think so as this is more for outdoor use. Maybe try using a dilute bleach water solution 😊

  • @MaxSuperTrade
    @MaxSuperTrade 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Why did you choose not to rinse off the solution?

    • @SilverLiningDayDreams
      @SilverLiningDayDreams  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good question! I feel the rinse off works a little better, especially at the beginning of the season. I would consider the other one you leave on if we ever have a problem that is more continuous throughout the season. But for now this one works great for our needs!

      Hi Robert
      We just bought 2 more of them a week ago at Menards (Home Depot should have them too). Below is the UPC and the ingredient list. As long as you can match up the ingredient list you should be ok 😊
      Here is ingredient list:
      Sodium Hypochlorite (Bleach) commercial grade, highly stable
      70% less NaCl (salts)….8%
      Proprietary ingredients….6%
      Inert ingredients….86%
      Also the UPC on the two we just bought is 0 4023575480 4

    Is this safe around plants?

    • @SilverLiningDayDreams
      @SilverLiningDayDreams  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They state in the directions to rinse overspray on plants within 10 minutes of application.
      We covered some of our perennials with a tarp to be on the safe side when we used the cleaner when we made the video.
      A couple months ago when we used the cleaner on our deck we didn’t cover anything and we rinsed the perennials and all was ok.
      So my best answer is a probably.
      Take care 😊

    Can you use on cloth awnings

    • @SilverLiningDayDreams
      @SilverLiningDayDreams  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. Here’s what the manufacturer states:
      Metal, Cloth, Paint, Plastic, Fiberglass:
      Test any cloth material on a small inconspicuous area first to make sure it is colorfast material.
      Spray on DRY surface.
      Keep wet with the product for up to 3 minutes.
      Brush (if necessary) and rinse thoroughly with water, within 10 minutes. 😊
      Take care

    I just finished doing a driveway. It didn't work at all. In fact I have a big puddle of soap at the bottom of driveway. I even scrubbed the driveway because I wasn't seeing results. Waste of time , effort and money

    It works but so does outdoor bleach for 1/4 price. This stuff is overpriced bleach.

    • @SilverLiningDayDreams
      @SilverLiningDayDreams  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks for taking the time to post a comment. It’s true that it’s similar to bleach and may be a viable option for some to consider to save some money. I’m willing to pay the extra money to have the convenience of just attaching it to our water hose. Thanks for watching 😊
