OMG Kathrin. Well done seems like an understatement. This is an incredible accomplishment. Hope your knees are ok. Love the videos so much. Take care ❤
A fine video. Must be well over 45 years since I first did a Suilven circuit. Ascended from the south via the waterfalls of River Kirkaig then back via the northern side, after a complete traverse, back past Glencanisp Lodge back to Lochinver. A magnificent day out, sadly I am now too old to manage it again but the memories ( of several ascents ) still remain.
It‘s memories we build that count in the end! It was too hard for me too, and I am possibly a few years younger… but Kathrin enjoyed it tremendously despite it being a very tough hike. Thanks for watching!
31k that is some walk. Stunning well done you. I thought you had hit the jackpot with the lobster. Better luck with the next one. We like to sail but spend just as much time exploring as we do sailing.
That‘s our idea of cruising too… we take as much joy from exploring new places, cultures and history as from a good day sailing… it‘s the combination of both that keeps us going.
No, it happened only once so far and I believe it is due to the long shank of our 33kg Rocna that is going to the limit of what can be fitted on our bow. When pulling it up we have to be careful that it comes in fast and ha no chance to bounce back and lever the chain over the pulley.
Thanks for another great video and well done to Kathrin on topping Suilven ⛰fantastic achievement! Good to see you managed to pick up a games as well..... Look forward to Ullapool 😊
Well done Catherine, Sullivan is my favourite also though fourty years since climbing.
Well done Kathrin !
Thank you Anton! She‘s a tough cookie… 😎

Useful windlass tips! Appreciate all the effort that goes into every video installment, thanks!

That is a "feature" of vertical windlasses that we were unaware of! Does it happen often?
