I have the SAME attitude about older NEAT 22lrs that are GREAT SHOOTERS. I have an INTERESTING collection of 22lr pistols and rifles and I've had a few that I sold that I REGRET SELLING. I don't like to sell any weapon that I can shoot well but if it isn't ACCURATE away it goes.😂👍 My most interesting old rifle was a 2nd year production of a Winchester 1885 in 22short. It was in SAD SHAPE, needing extensive TLC. I paid $200 for it, it had an octagon heavy barrel, original Winchester tang sight base, the barrel was unevenly cut 4"-5" shorter, the bore was HORRIBLE and that is being kind and 2 of the main flat springs were broken. I was able to order the flat springs EASLY because their is a company in Wyoming that sells ALL the parts for the rifle, they will BUILD you one from SCRATCH to your specifications but of course it would be a little PRICEY. I got it working again with a relined 22lr original factory barrel similar to what was on it originally. It was an interesting project. I has several PRE-WWII German 22lr trainers that are NICE. I found an early old PRE-WWII Anschutz youth model with no butt plate but someone put a homemade clear plastic one on it, it's a NEAT LITTLE RIFLE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GETTING PEOPLE INTERESTED IN OLDER 22LRS. 😉😁👍

Great to see ya back, you're awful lucky to find some of those fine rifles, here in the upper-west to midwest, any old gems are all but non-existent due to the wasteful mentality of the people from this region, highly evident today as it ever was, they need new-new-new constantly because they trashed the new in the past year so bad, so, ya, old stuff, if you find it, is just garbage unfortunately,....very,very rare. Thanks fer sharing, can't wait to see more about that rifle.

Please be careful with the muzzle threads. From how it shoots the harmonics seem pretty dead on. putting something on there or cutting it will really mess with the harmonics

Hello, good to hear you're sorting things out, all the best for that 'project'. Not as much of a rimfire enthusiast as you, but your info is always excellent. Ah, I've also recently discovered the Remington 510 series. If you haven't played with one of those, worth a look too. Well made and interesting double locking lug system. Screams quality from a much better time in Remington's history. Take care and Merry Christmas from an old range buddy and ex-M1100 vendor. That darned thing.

Hey man, good to see you back. If you'd like weird guns for content I've got a Schultz & Larsen M70 - 30 inch barrel single shot + diopter. Be sweet to see someone with more skills put it on paper. Hope you're doing well & look forward to seeing you at the range again soon.

      Thanks pal!
I have had a few M70s over the years and they are always wonderful shooters. I think the stock design is very comfortable as well and always seemed to fit my chubby face well. lol
