Tikka accuracy is remarkable. Great shooting as always. The GRS stock looks like a fantastic upgrade!

I have a T1x. It’s the most accurate .22 I own. I replaced the trigger spring with an aftermarket spring to put trigger pull at around two pounds. Head shots on limb rats are easy. Countless rounds through this rifle, zero malfunctions. Highly recommended!

Also called "tree mice", red squirrels are edible. I have a Ruger American Rimfire, Model 8351, 22 LR, stainless steel bolt-action, and it uses 10/22 magazines.

      Interesting.
We have four kinds of rabbit in Australia:
      The small grey rabbit.
      The red rabbit.
      The, larger, black rabbit.
…and the big eastern grey jumping rabbit.

Love mt Tikka T1X in .22LR, I have it mounted in the GRS Bifrost stock and upgraded the trigger with a spring kit which brought it down to 1lb. Very accurate rifle.

Just FYI, "tikka" is woodpecker in Finnish. Name is derived from factory's homeplace, small place called Tikkakoski, which translates about to "woodpecker rapids". Finland out.

Great video. Would've liked to see it on paper at 50 and a hundred. I have mine with factory stock, DIP scope base, Burris rings and Burris 4.5-14x42 scope (side parallax), and it shoots beautiful. I believe the trigger is at about 2 lbs; maybe 2.5 lbs; from factory. Haven't made any changes of the trigger or adjustments. I have a ton of 22's and this one had been put aside for a few months. It had only been sighted in on paper at about 20 yards from the truck hood; with cheap ammo. So, yesterday I actually took it out to see what it could do at short range; 25 meters. The ammo was Lapua center x, SK flatnose match, SK match, CCI Blazer, CCI Standard Velocity, Winchester Super X Power Point, Remington Golden Bullet, American Eagle red box, and Aguila Super Extra. As expected, the higher end ammo printed pretty much one hole at that range. Both of the CCI ammo's and American Eagle hit one hole with a very close flier for each (could've been me, not the ammo). Winchester, Remington and Aguila were all still close, but not quite the "one hole" that I like to print. This Tikka can shoot way better than "minute of squirrel" with all ammo I put through it. And that really is what it was bought for; my spring-time ground squirrel getter. I would rank its accuracy, trigger pull, and everything else in the same category as my CZ 455 and almost up to the task of competing with my Bergara B14R.

I bought a Tikka T1x to start NRL22. It is amazingly accurate for a $500 rifle. The factory trigger is very good but the factory stock is worthless. Good ammo makes a huge difference IMO

  • @AndrewFromNewHampshire
    @AndrewFromNewHampshire ปีที่แล้ว

Not surprised by that level of accuracy at all! My T1X is in an ORYX chassis with a Vortex Diamondback scope, and with S+K flatnose target I can reliably shoot 3/8" or better groups at 50 yards. It is absolutely my favorite rifle.

I know several GRS evangelists. The stock is a blessing for right handed shooters, it is a curse for lefthanded shooters though. It is like shooting a stock that fights everyting you do. Normal stocks, you can get used to with no problem. The GRS is a great stock for the end user, not so if you have left eye dominant brothers or sisters. It is an exeptional stock if you ordered for your specifications. That said, it is a great product, but with its own built in problem.

I have the .17 HMR. I had an older Mossberg .17 that a 12-year-old managed to wreck by forcing the barrel out of the chamber slightly, just loading a round into a badly fouled rifle.
I figured a good company used to building high-powered center-fire rifles would do a better job with a rim fire. I have not been disappointed.

The Bix n Andy is over kill. You merely need to replace the trigger spring with a cheap spring from YoDave. And you will have an exceptional trigger. As the Tikka and Sako come with great triggers. YoDave will just drop the pounds on it.

Rather than a foreign European made 22 LR Tikka T1X bolt-action.
~Instead why don't you purchase a Made in the USA, Ruger Precision Rimfire bolt-action 22 LR with adjustable stock Model 8422 with American Flag Cerakote finish, or the regular bolt-action Model 8401.
    ~Ruger American Rimfire Long-Range Target Model 8378.
~Ruger American Rimfire Target Model 8366, stainless steel.
~Ruger American Rimfire Model 8351, stainless steel. (I have this one.)
~They use 10/22 magazines, are all bolt-actions, and come in a variety of 18" & 22" barrel models in both blued and stainless steel.
