There's a lot of updates because the updates they've all been working on behind the scenes for years are finally coming close to ready, and because the QoL and backend changes they focused on last year have improved their efficiency. Don't set your expectations too high, they won't be able to keep up this pace for very long.
they ruined the opportunity for the new meta to bring about a age like when superior dragon armor was the meta, the update is ruined with the nerf

Problem isint it being "better" than necron-the problem is that above C45 m7 (with good gear) is pretty easy, with most of the diffucilty coming from things like ee2, i4, and clearing fast enough for the BC-not actually related to ehp or dealing damage. A better armour set would make parts of the floor which are ALREADY easy easier, which makes it feel less like the final boss of dungeons its meant to be. (also with primal u could solo skip without debuff as arch, which is just stupid.)

While I agree that Infernal Crimson should not be outclassed as it is very hard to obtain, I think Primal Dragon armor should be better than Necron when maxed. While the End is an early-game island, the Primal Dragon Armor is very hard to get as Awakened Summoning are both very expensive/rare and a primal dragon is not guaranteed to spawn wheb placing them. You also need to kill 2000 Dragons to max the set which is a very tedious grind.
Though I believe that Primal should not destroy Necron in dungeons, just a 10-15% average stat increase.
I feel like the primal dragon shouldn’t be THIS much worse… like yea it’s dragon armor, and it was insanely overpowered, but cmon… I feel like it was nerfed a bit much…

the chances of spawning it are very low, the cost is insanity to even spawn one in the first place, and now the bonus is not great enough until someone is at the very endgame of Skills and Talis.
Im kinda disappointed. I was so happy that there will be a new armor that outclases necron in dungeons. I know that the stats are not final but if they stay as they are rn. I dont see any use for it besides pet crafting. If they never add better gear the game will just be stuck for ever with the same items.
Ofc it had to be nerfed but that is just to much.
Idk i just hope they change the numbers but we will see. At the end i dont have a nerfed necron and can keep doing what i do i guess...

The only stat it shines is petluck.
I agree it used to be way to overpowered and had to be nerfed! But i wish i would have been a usefull armor and not something that is good for gambeling only.
And it is sad to say that this armor will cost about 2b and it doesnt even outclase shaddowassasin. Every new combat armor that is worse then necron is useless for combat since necron is way to easy to get. I made a new profil and i got it in 13h and 32 min of play time. And i wasnt even tryharding.

make it so that the drag kills give a little crit chance maybe allowing more options with MP for term so necron better for melee and drag better for arch in dungeons
they are missing the oprotunity to create a meta, a new iconic age. There was once a meta for superior armor long ago and it was iconic. This set could have been the next superior but they screwed it up with the nerfs.
Litterally no reason to ever waste time grinding for this
@@toukoenriaze9870 the same can be said for a lot of items that exist in skyblock like the many useless collection weapons and armor along with the armor dye. The primal dragon set isn’t any more unnecessary than things that already exist in the game

i was happy to see that there would be an alternative for necron so u have to pick ethier 4/4 dragon or 3/4 necron and instead they just make from it a bit better suppierior dragon armor for mf like there there wasnt enough mf items
They shouldn’t outclass any armour with a random update. If they want to outclass necron, add floor 8 to dungeons. If they want to outclass crimson, add kuudra t6

As for the 24% i assume the set bonus applies 4% buff with 0 kills but i have no way to back that up.
in my opionin the set should've been better then necron, but not too much better, the main issue was that it was so broken you could go afk in dungeons and still not die, plus necron is getting old, this set is gonna be too hard to obtain with basically no upside other then, petluck..... thats it, you can say magic find, but theres 500+ other ways to get said stat, sorrow literally will be 100x cheaper, and almost be equal to this set in magic find, so in the end this set will end up being another waste set that you MAYBE use in like 2 scenario's and nothing else in the game, atleast give it a buff to be atleast slightly better then necron, please, I love game design and trying to fix f'd up balance issues and broken mechanics, but this just killed the set, not even a shred of mercy

i think that considering dungeons is "finished" (no new floors) that necron shouldnt be outclassed in dungeons, unless a new type of dungeon is added

Thing about primal armor is that it has no place in the game. Like what are you gonna use it for? Dungeons have their own armor sets, maxing at nercon. Kuudra has it's own sets, whose job is to be best in the game. Primal set? What? You get it from generally early game content - dragons. What are you gonna do with it? Kill dragons who don't deal damage faster? Use the magic find to kill sven and rev instead of using their dedicated sets? It just has no place in the game.

I will get an leg edrag and leg scatha faster than i would get full primal set with 2500 kills. A rare set is not the way to go with this, something like sorrow is.

to the people complaining about how this is gonna be worse then necron in dungeons. please understand that if there is gonna be a set better than necron for dungeons it should be from dungeons and not from a completely different aspect of the game. it would make 0 sense that primal dragon armor would be better than necron for dungeons
i can understand your viewpoint perfectly well, but i raise you the idea that this is a difficult to obtain armor set intended for players at a point of progression where they have already made substantial progress in catacombs. it would also be a fantastic opportunity to start raising the stat bar slowly again if it was only marginally stronger than necron, as it would be exciting for the next dungeon to be released to have stronger weapons and armors available that could benefit players who go back to play catacombs then as they would likely outclass primal dragon armor in ehp and dps; i find it highly unlikely that they will make a new armor set for the catacombs because of how established it is at this point, so i think this is a more reasonable hope for dungeons' overall development
best utility item that is needed for dungeons? u get out of dungeons, 2 best bows in the game that are way better than hype in mm? u get out of dungeons. adding a set that would be better than necron (a set u get at 1/4 of the dungeon gameplay) or atleast as good as necron but worse than new dungeon sets that gonna be realsed isnt such a bad ideda
Have you forgotten the terminator? The term is the best bow for dungeons and is from eman slayer, a totally different aspect of the game.
Master mode is impossible without Terminator (Bow is NOT FROM DUNGEON)
i have not forgotten about terminator being obtainable out side dungeons. if the best dungeon armor was obtained from outside dungeons then it would completely remove the need for necron as you could just go straight for grinding primal dragon armor. i dont fully like the nerfs as i think there should be a 3rd option for armor used in dungeon as bers/arch just it was way to strong as it was and needed a nerf

old primal was way too op and ppl who say it was good cause it changed the meta or whatever are just wrong, having a single armor set be the best for everything by like 2 or 3 times isnt a good meta.
this alpha feels almost too weak now tbh, it should for sure not outclass infernal crimson and shoulnd have 3 times the ehp of goldor combined with double necron stats, but a bit better then necron woulnd have been a bad thing

@@1412SAX55bruiser den exists and it's very nice but the end is definitely one of the more congested and competitive areas, i think a third higher access req (but probably same rates as bruiser, or only marginally better) would be well justified at this point
I feel like hypixel does not want me to get anything in this game. Every time I invest in stuff the update is delayed for years or stuff gets nerfed to oblivion
I think primal dragon should’ve completely outclassed necron both in and out of dungeons but be worse than infernal crimson. Also please make the set ability 3/4

Admins are absolutely stupid for this. I genuinely feel as the the new multi billion coin armor set should have been better than necron, not better than infernal crimson but all other tiers it should beat. If anyone disagrees you are the reason why progression and fun are limited

Why did they make it 4% like 5% would make it more balanced since it’s VERY slightly more useful and also it’s a round number ending at 30% instead of 24%
Also I think the pet luck is too low for it to make that big of a difference when farming dragons
i think of pet luck like magic find, it's just something that you always want more of even if the numbers are small. we have to remember how pet luck influences things like phoenix pet and mob pet drops as well, it certainly will be important for edrags but it can't be too heavy or pets that drop will be rapidly devalued to some extent

I might be a little bit biased since i always loved all this dragon stuff and fighting dragons but the admins are cooking
this is definitely a fantastic expansion on current content, and i really appreciate when the admins take the time to expand a concept that exists further rather than simply stapling more things to the list

I felt like primal being better than necron was the way to go, but it being better than crimson is where I can see it getting out of hand. With the attribute system being reworked though, I believe primal will just naturally get better with time, and I think the admins know that too.

@@Jotrexwitz if there’s a new item that happens to be good that requires a prerequisite item, that said prerequisite receives a increase in demand, increasing the price. A great example of this was summoning eyes being 3-4m a while after the alpha showcased the set. Price shifts happen, and I don’t think a new armor set would “crash” stars because of it

I have an idea though
1. Buff the magic find and pet luck again. This time being sizably better than sorrow
2. Buff the primal dragon chances by a lot
This way it will be worth getting as it would be a lot cheaper and it will be the best for magic find
Nothing that doesn't come from Dungeons should beat Necron in Dungeons. The game desperately needs some better gear progression outside of party based content for people that hate party based content though. The one opportunity they had to have non-dungeons progression was Kuudra and they messed it up by making Kuudra have the exact same issues as dungeons, except without the saving grace of solo queues.
I agree nothing outside of dungeons should be the meta in dungeons. And before anyone tries to use the terminator to justify it they plan to remove the ability to dungeonize items to fix that problem
So disappointed, the nerf was insane, I understand nerfing it but not 5x the amount like the main reason I was hyped was because well we need a better set inside dungeons but what now a 4% increase is the difference between a clean and a star like wth. This would make it onpar with necron at most but costing like 10x
I think making the set better than necron, but worse than infernal crimson was the right choice if it wasn't dungeonizable. If they keep it dungeonizable then I think making it a little worse in damage than necron would be fine. At this point this set will just be a better sorrow in terms of usage.

It was already changed to 5 summoning eyes for an awakened summoning eyes on alpha last time, same for the zealots dropping awakens eyes.

Honestly, I think that the primal dragon set deserves to be better than Necron. Necron is just vastly cheaper than this set and is significantly easier to get. The primal dragon set is kinda just a slightly better superior set so it's just a huge waste now. The admins should remember that this set is going to be worth billions. A single piece will probably cost as much as a fully maxed Necron set so it 100% should be better. There's literally no point to this set if it's worse than Necron in dungeons and Crimson outside dungeons

necron should never be outclassed by anything that is obtained out of dungeons in my opinion
i understand this view and i think it's quite reasonable, but i also think it's nigh time that necron is at least strongly contested by another armor set, especially fitting if it's hard to obtain to the point of being geared towards players who have made money... especially through catacombs. and the reason i think it's better for primal dragon to be that rather than a dungeons set is to 1. raise the bar for the next dungeon and its equipments and 2. provide a quicker result. it's likely going to be a really long time yet from the next dungeon right? and they aren't likely to extrapolate catacombs because of how deeply rooted its current structure is, although i won't deny that as a distinct possibility. just my murmurings though

Personally imo there's no good reason to outclass necron in dungeons, or crimson outside of dungeons atm. Dungeons just isn't in need of a stat buff to players, and it makes no sense to make peoples hypermaxed necron redundant to a dragon set. Adding further upgrades to the wither armours through a dungeon update is one think, making them obsolete for no real reason is just stupid.

For any nons complaining that a midgame boss wont drop a insanely overpowered fits all sizes armor set that is going to make 90% of armor sets useless (which it would have done), remember that there is currently nothing that requires something of that power level. Best mf or best end focused set would already make it well worth it

@@dripwastaken7884it would certainly cost a lot if it was as good as it was before, because it originally had an extremely steep requirement for obtaining and the demand for an armor set of that power scale would be preposterous. i don't think any reasonable people are going to dispute that it needed a heavy nerf, i think the major dispute is that it was a little too heavy. it should be difficult to get, very expensive, and imo outclass most combat armor options by a significant margin. i see value in it even overpowering necron, although i also don't have any major qualms with it not doing so as long as it is generally very powerful. this isn't intended to be early game content lol, and it takes a lot more than a powerful armor set to be a strong player regardless

I personally think making primal not better than necron is a good thing because it would make no sense and feel out of place.
But i can see why a meta change in dungeons could be cool so for a fix there could be making shiny necron better than primal dragon and then lock shiny wither armour behind a cata or m7 completion requirement
