In terms of additional information:
Getting a few citrine gemstones set up in advance probably wouldn't be a terrible idea.
Personally, hyper-maxxing a Treecap doesn't make logical sense. Other axes will almost certainly outclass the Treecap incredibly quickly.
I have not personally invested in this update whatsoever, and will not (as per usual for anything I post about)
1:56 the 2 most profitable woods i think will be jungle and spruce. jungle because of the jungle axe and treecap and spruce because of wolf pet. they will also prob be 2 safest

I would suggest to max out the wood collections too since they might add something there. Maybe stock up on wood resources and citrine gemstones since the prices are gonna surge at least a bit.
Getting to Foraging 24 kinda implies maxxing out current wood collections, but yes absolutely do this!
24 is more maxing one type, but using minions for other wood types is recommended tbh
Personally, I also prepared 1024 (16 stacks) of each enchanted wood as existing wood minions will most likely have a tier 12.
If the update have not release by then, next Derpy I'll grind to Foraging 50 (41 currently). Yes I believe there will be quicker/less boring/more profitable ways to level up after the update, but 1) Foraging cap will probably be raised to 60 once it is a fully-fledged skill anyway, and 2) being high level will probably mean that the access to end-game Foraging will be easier and quicker, or at least more efficient.
I'm probably going to get several perfect citrines: for my Treecapitator (I agree it will probably be outclassed by new gear, but you can always remove the gemstones anyway), and I'll be also putting perfect citrine in my chisel, that I will be able to remove and use elsewhere when the update comes out if needed.

Funnily enough, I'm ready, I got 10k ench logs of every wood type, been stockpiling them for a while
I would recommend the Skyblocker mod and Aaron's mod for people making a 1.20 pack

i'd recommend to get Ocelote/Monkey Pet if you haven't already and get them to lvl 100

because fishing gear was maxed at 35 - 45lvl of skill
garden armor 30 - 45lvls.
but best of all its just grinding foraging fortune.
after hours in mining i think they will make foraging greater and not so boring.
and we still have top #1 hype around this update
some players lvl 300 and higher recommend collect ocelot and monkey pets because of future price hype
Something I always thought should be done if you are dedicated to preparing enough, getting to around Foraging 30-35 or EVEN 40 would not be a bad idea. Sure its going to be much easier afterwards, but you are gonna potentially be locked behind Item requirements, as proven by the Garden's farming armor progression if they proceed to do that again.

I already have 6 treecaps ready (i had full backpack page of them) and 54M worth of enchanted jungle wood that i was collecting past year. Also i already spent overall 37M setting up buy orders for rough citrine gems and craft them into fine (with double the profit if i want to insta sell them now) Also foraging lvl 32 aint that bad so ig im ready
I would recommend investing in pets, like the Monkey. They will probably go up in value once the update drops
I’m a bit more hesitant about this. If they end up dropping a relatively easy to get pet that levels with you throughout the update it could backfire. I would HAVE a monkey pet, I personally wouldn’t invest much.
fun fact, they lowered the combat requirement for crimson isle from 24 -> 22 a couple months ago

I know almost every optimisation mod for 1.20 and using them on my smp all the time, so if you have any questions what to install you can ask me. With mods 1.20 will run much much smoother and you will get more fps then 1.8.9

Prob better to invest into super enchanted eggs. If no omega egg pets are added but super eggs are then you can still flip them

Probably 22 is fine. I wouldn't recommend being lower than 20.
@@Derailious Also i have like 10 flawless citrines a full set of sorrow for that INSANE 24 foraging fortune 6 50% exp boosts divers armor and a salmon hat in case its (somehow) usefull for dealing with pressure and a treecap with inferno 1 and 2 recombs (i will try to get more)

I think the reqs should be foraging 60 but not for the island, if you try joining skyblock without it you get perma banned

IMO axes will outclass it in the foraging islands quickly. I don't recommend doing that unless you have money to burn.

we actually know quite a bit about this update shockingly enough. They've been pretty good about releasing information related to it!
@@Derailious I’d say we currently have very VERY basic knowledge that probably will change especially when it comes to alpha, similar to what happened when crimson isles was on alpha vs launch and even after its launch
While we are aware of some core features and mechanics, a lot of it is WIP and subject to change

@@Derailious for me this will at least give a quick entry into the update. If you have to farm a certain resource to start (like new wood) it will still be simpler with the treecap than with a jungle axe. Also, the same thing could have been said about "melon dicers" and others in the garden. However, they are still used
