I always respect you for making videos about the TYPES of earbuds. I think it will be important long-term for the industry to standardize the names of these different types. Because they are distinct designs, and not every type is right for everyone! I personally prefer a rubber seal when I want noise isolation and don't needs to speak, but I prefer NO rubber seal when I need to speak to others, so I don't hear my own voice in my head! Keep up the good work!!!
I've been planning to buy a new TWS and this video really helps whether I should get a half-in ear or in-ear type. And in both types, I found one each that I've been interested in, Monster Airmars XKT08 for the half-in ear, and Moondrop Space Travel for the in-ear. I've seen your video about Moondrop Space Travel, and I'm curious about your opinion on Monster Airmars XKT08. Do you have any plan to do a video review about it in the future? I'd really appreciate it.
Excellent and informative as always Kenneth! I prefer in ear silicone tips earbuds for sure. Much better sound quality even at budget prices. But I have a pair of Truefree F1's that are wrap around over ears ( l believe they are a subsidiary of Soundpeats) and they are great for biking and walking when l want that situational awareness. Surprisingly nice sound ( not bass cannons by any means though) with a very open soundstage. I really enjoy them too🙂
I'm happy with my Edifier X2S as a half in-ear TWS, it is enough for listening to audiobook, podcast or even a music with light amount of bass. Also it's easier to clean rather than in-ear ear imo.
Bone conduction is less effective because the sound wave reaches the cochlea through our skull, mainly mastoid and temporal bone. The audio stimuli delivered to cochlea through the skull will be attenuated and lose a lot of its kinetic mechanical energy before it reaches the cochlea. In contrast, air conduction transfers sound waves through the ear drums and ear ossicles. These middle ear apparatus will transfer sound waves more efficiently: preserving, propagating, and even amplifying the physical properties of the audio stimuli until it reaches the cochlea where the sound wave will be converted into electrical energy, which will be transferred to our brain via the auditory nerves so we can perceive sound so it wont lose any of its mechanical properties! The difference of the sound wave quality that reaches the cochlea is the main reason why bone conduction is inferior to air conduction. No matter how much you pay for a bone conduction device, the quality will always be inferior to air conduction naturally.
Half-in/open-ear is the new wave. They just need to work on that bass. I love my in earbuds but i just cant wear em all day or use them when I'm working. So thats why its Samsung Galaxy Buds live gang!!! They still undefeated in terms of using them all day while maintaining great bass.
I love my Samsung galaxy buds Live. I am going to try the Soundcore C30i and V30i. I can use in ear for so long, then I need a break. I am going to try the V30i 1st. I tried half in ear buds and it's no different, I need a break after a while. Bone conduction feels weird, which I am glad I was able to try them at Sam's Club, when I was shopping with my friend. If the Samsung buds Live hooked on my ear better, I would use them everywhere and everyday, which is why I am going to try the Soundcore V30i. If I like those, I might get a more expensive pair. The C30i and Bose Open ear buds both look great for me but the Bose price is kinda to high for me. $150 is the most I would want to spend, but that's even expensive for me. The Openrock S are $79 right now, which is another consideration. Thanks for the video.
@mfarhanamran I have the V30i and they are pretty good. I was hoping they could be used in 1 ear for cutting grass and motorcycle rides, but the wind is too loud for motorcycle rides and I barely hear the music at high volume cutting grass. They are perfect for grocery shopping, bicycle rides and walks, since I can still hear my surroundings. I basically forget they are on when music is paused. My ears don't have wax issues like other buds. If your looking for something cheaper, but mid to high price range sound, the V30i is a good open ear option. The microphone and sound is better on the Buds live, but the ear hooks are way more secure on the V30i, and the sound isn't that much of a difference to say live over the V30i. I was told that I sound better on the Live, but I sound clearly on both. The live seems to block AC noise in the background, but the wind noise is horrible on the Live, but a little better on the V30i. Since you have the Live and if you want the hook for a secure fit, I would recommend to wait for a sale and you will be happier with your purchase. I am still happy, but the Live feel and are premium in my opinion and the V30i are high mid area in sound and mic but the hook has the confidence to keep on my ear. I sadly haven't found a replacement for in ear buds for motorcycle rides. I just use 1 in ear bud though. Hope this helps. Sorry I was a few days late. I haven't tried the C30i, since the V30i failed the motorcycle test. I can't hear them at speeds over 30 MPH. That might be why I wish I could have paid a little less for the V30i. That's my biggest disappointment and I haven't tried another open earbud because they will probably all suffer from wind going between my ear and the bud.
The content is great! Would you mind making a review of Huawei freebuds se2? There has to be some people which are interested, and they are not that expensive. Bought does damn Samsung buds live... They are not bad, but they do have some issues... Especially if you don't own a Samsung phone.
Hi I've been watching your videos for awhile now and just got my partner a moondrop space travel as a gift, I got it based on your review. I'm not really an audiophile but I enjoy good music, I would like to try the moondrop IEM, but a little hesitant since I don't know if the phone that I have can take full advantage of it since it uses the type C connection. Do you have any type c to 3.5mm dongles to recommend?
heyy kenneth the soundcore liberty 4 nc are on sale for 60€ rn, most important for me is sound quality is there a better alternative or should i take the soundcores? i do have the space a40 but might sell them because the highs aren't crispy enough for me
Will you review the redmi buds 5 pro? I only saw one review video on YT and I would like to hear your thoughts on it since it just released here in the Philippines yesterday.
Hi bro ive been a subscriber for many years ❤️ now im looking for ear buds with Vocal clarity (not a basshead) good battery, ANC & good latency in SoundPeats range only. Mainly Im confused between the Mini Hs, MiniPro Hs, Capsule 3Pro, Engine 4 and Air 4 pro. Kindly suggest which one should I buy in only SoundPeats range. My main usage is TH-cam & Movies so I cant tolerate lag in video. Thanks.
I cannot use in ear buds as it always makes me dizzy after some times. Sure sound quality is way off compared to in ear, but as the trade is my literal health, I'm okay with the trade off.
Really appreciate that you stop by and watched! Actually the Sabbat is quite an old model at this point and I generally don't mention them anymore due to issues like background hissing and the fact that they use an older chip without dual-mode connection (takes a few seconds to switch left and right earbuds), I think it's safe to say the Soundpeats is better, even the microphone is better. The only thing I could see favors Sabbat is the stemless design, and the physical button that I always look for haha

You deserve the 100k subscribers milestone Kenneth!!! Well done and thank you for the great job here on your channel!!

Thanks for your honest and experience based suggestions. Really helpful in this tech swamp nowadays... Thumbs up !
Congratulation Ken. Very nice video 💯
Can you do a video about the best silicone ear tips and foam tips. For us to choose the right ear tips to buy
Hi Kenneth! Can you please try the Redmi Buds 5 pro?

This was mostly a talking head video but I'm so glad to hear that!

Hello i want to buy tws for gaming, can you reccomend the best budget tws for gaming? Thank you so much

Always pick the right tool for the job, and as long as the volume is enough and the fit is good, half in-ears can be great too!
Thanks this video is what im looking for
I'm glad the video helped!
