I would go all wool. Day and night different! Super warm. Super breathable.

Thanks Joe. I learned in the army, fingerless gloves with mittens were the best way to keep my hands warm. Fingered gloves were the worst. I’ll have to check out those Simms mittens

I’ve cut all those OD green wool gloves down to fingerless and burned the ends. The value in the Simms is too good as I still get a stray thread just waiting to run into my spool one day.
If that happens on a big trophy fish those Simms are priceless 😆

Yea, for me personally I think I'm damaged good when it comes to gadgets. I've tried that stuff and seem to always remember being disappointed. Not "anti" but it just seems to get my hopes up only to be let down haha.

I’ve also seen some rather gruesome failures of the electric hot hands shared online. Especially being a prone water ingress area in our sport I’d try to stay away from lithium near your toes.

Im looking to invest good money in one rod setup(looking in the $600-$700 range). I currently have a Clearwater 9’ 5wt. But I want a top notch rod as well. What size/wt. rod would u recommend. I live in North Carolina
