Today we are continuing on the recent conversation we FEATURED between Dr. Michael Heiser and Joe Rogan.
Joe Rogan frequently cites the work of a supposed scholar named Zecharia Sitchin. He uses the claims of this scholar to support a flawed ancient alien theory and deliberately twists biblical narratives to fit their alien agenda.
This is a popular theory that falsely evangelizes millions of people with error filled claims from Sitchin.
Our resident Scholar Dr. Michael Heiser worked diligently in his career to research through Sitchins claims and found that key elements from Sitchin's work aren’t just flawed but completely BOGUS and MADE UP.
In our last episode we laid out some ground work on Sitchin's Ancient Alien Theory and how Rogan constantly promotes this as a plausible.

Today we are going to go a step further and release some detailed information from Heiser that gives us ALL the ability to check Sitchin's work and see for ourselves what is true or not.
We are going to give proof that the Bible stands a set a part as a witness not for but against the unholy union of spiritual evil communication wisdom to humans like in Genesis 6, Enoch, the Apkallu and the anunnaki. I was tuning in to Billy Carson until I saw him wave off belief of the crucifixion so easily. The amount of evidence for the crucifixion that he just completely dismisses with far too little justification in my opinion. That caused me to feel his work to be somewhat frivolous.

He for sure comes across as confident and intelligent, and most people have never interacted with the subject matter he brings to popular audiences. But yeah all it takes is one scholar to show that he's just flat wrong on so much.

Came here to say this. He just makes wild assertion after wild assertion with little to no justification. He’s basically Terrance Howard.
I've just recently became aware of Billy Carson, listened to a segment of one of his appearances but have now seen many of the thumbnails of the topics he speaks about . He seems a bit of a new age pusher to me, and therefore probably a false teacher.

Man I got to tell you I took about 25 hours of Dr. Heiser's lectures and conferences and I transcribed them, and I made a GPT app called heiser's lectures expert... And you can ask it any question on Divine counsel or anything he talks about and it references the transcripts and answers each question as if you're at the conference.
I'm still adding to it. I would love to collaborate brother. I believe our paths are supposed to cross LOL

Poor Billy. i don't know if he believes anything he says. Or if he just wants to be play pretend. Every time is see someone brought in to discuss Billys claims. They tend to rip most of the details he mentions, apart. Billy is one of those people who sound intelligent, when you don't know anything about what he is talking about. He sounds like a conman when you do have some understanding of the subject matter he is discussing. i feel bad for him. He needs prayer.

I own a copy of every book Sitchin put out, read them multiple times and studied his work intensity through the years. Until I heard of Michael Heiser and emersed myself in his work and many books. Sitchin was a fiction writer, Heiser was a scholar.

Myth or mythology does NOT mean "fake" or even merely fictional, except when used in ignorance (which, granted, happens a lot and eventually word meanings change because of it. But it's still worth mentioning that when academics use the term, they rarely if ever mean fake, false or fictional in the narrow sense.

In Kingdom of the Cults Walter Martin describes this same method of redefining terms. So when speaking to a cult member like a Jehovah Witness, Roman Catholic or Mormon, when they say God it doesn't mean the same thing as when you do. Everything is redefined in their head as though you're speaking a different language. In other words this is cult behavior. This is presupposition, worldview determines how one evaluates the exact same evidence.

You will definitely not explore the supernatural aspects of The Bible by referring to NT Wright. He rules out all the supernatural - trying, like an athiest to give logical explanations for the supernatural.
