    Rare for anyone to show a bypass alterantive. Thumbs up

    I have had hell with these dryers on 3 different trucks not supplying air to the tanks and air bags. But I have found that backing off the pressure valves on the bottom one turn will allow air to come out of the ports.

    I would like to buy that bypass valve to keep in my truck. Is there any link or part number on that bypass valve you can give us?

      @fleetproducts  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You can put the bypass valve together yourself with a tee fitting and a few bushings from your local fitting shop.

    If we were to install an alcohol evaporator on the air system, it would go after the air dryer correct. But now would we plug the primary and secondary outlets and then take the evaporator exit and split it in 2 lines one to each tank?

    • @fleetproducts
      @fleetproducts  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This dryer is really not made for an alcohol evaporator to be installed. You would have to splice the line leaving the dryer tank to the wet tank to avoid alcohol getting in the dryer cartridge and plugging your system.

    I got a question one of those tiny valves opens after the truck is been parked for 30 min or more, do you know what’s causing it??

    • @fleetproducts
      @fleetproducts  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry for the delay. I am thinking you are talking about one of the 4 pressure protecting valves in the dryer that allows air to be delivered to air tanks and other air components in the truck. it does not make sense that the valve would open after the truck has sat for 30 min’s as these valves need more air pressure to open. the first valve opens at 106 PSI then the other three open by the time you get to 110PSI. If one of the valves was sticking and your air system was over 106PSI, I guess it might open up but you should notice that something is missing air pressure somewhere in your truck. So this might be something to check. Could one valve be sticking and something missing air?

    Hello, I have a question. Why does mine returns air through the supply line even when engine off, truck looses all air in less then 30 minutes. Dont see any check valve and no one talks about that. This is my fourth dryer trying to solve the issue.

    • @fleetproducts
      @fleetproducts  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is a check valve under the governor. You have to take the governor off to get to it. It's purpose is to check the air tanks from draining so this should help to solve your issue.

    Just installed a new one, builds to 130 just fine, then turns the compressor on when it gets to 115. Really annoying because that small variance makes it so the compressor is running too much. Can this be fixed?

    • @fleetproducts
      @fleetproducts  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A 15-20 PSI spread is the industry standard. I suggest that you check for any leaks in the unloader line or purge valve at the dryer. A small leak on the unloader side of the governor will cause the dryer to cycle. This pressure must remain constant. There is a check valve between the governor and the body of the dryer that might be dirty and causing the valve to stick open which would cause the unit to cycle as well. Hope this helps.

    Hello there, my problem it's that the air dryer doesn't refill both tanks and the air compressor it's good

    • @fleetproducts
      @fleetproducts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a port on this dryer for the primary tank and a port for the secondary tank. The pressure protection valves are pre-set so if these have been adjusted, you may have closed off one of the ports to one of your tanks.

    Hello I have a question about the governor. I replaced mine but with am adjustable version. I notice my compressor now has a harder time to build air. Does this dryer only take non adjustable governors only??

    • @fleetproducts
      @fleetproducts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should only use a non-adjustable governor with these dryers. Part # 5004049.

    • @fleetproducts
      @fleetproducts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry you can use an adjustable governor but you must set it to 130 psi.

    Quick question. Can I eliminate governor on dryer if I have one on compressor? I’ll still run a line to send signal to dryer.

    • @fleetproducts
      @fleetproducts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the delay, you should not remove the governor from the AD-IS dryer as it is an integrated system. I would recommend that you install an AD-9 dryer instead of the AD-IS dryer.

    • @fleetproducts

      I would check to make sure that your supply line from the tank to the governor is in the right port. Must be a supply port. Bottom section of the governor.

    • @fleetproducts
      @fleetproducts  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kelvingonzalez2774 Perhaps the governor is defective. The governor controls when the compressor pumps and when it shuts off. When you say the dryer unloader is not working are you saying the dryer will not purge? If it will not purge it needs to be told when to purge which comes from the governor. The actual unloader is in the compressor. Please feel free to give us call toll free at 1-877-243-0442 and speak with a technician if you require further info.

    • @fleetproducts
      @fleetproducts  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jwgloballogisticsllc1406 You won't be able to tell unless the pressure protection valves have markings on them noting the "set" position. All of the pressure protection valves should be marked in the casting. The issue you are having is with the primary tank so find primary valve and back it off a quarter turn at a time and test it. Keep trying until hopefully it fixes your issue.
