As a new trucker I must say this video helped me a lot to understand about the service brakes, thanks for posting this, very helpful
This was the best one I watched all day. Thank you very much for your effort
I love the video I'm on a mission to get my CDL license I'm studying for the permit test and I'm on my way to a new career thanks for the video
Make sure as a driver you always have some basic tools with you and befriend as many Mobile diesel mechanic’s as you can. The more you know about how the truck you are operating functions, the better driver you’ll be directly securing your future. Being able to adjust your own brakes in doing a walk around that shouldn’t take more than 5 to 10 minutes before and after your shift is some thing I was taught to do at a young age and can gladly say that I retired from the industry putting in almost 40 years.
You just helped me tremendously with your very clear illustrations and explanations of functionalities! Thank youuu
You are explaining way better then the professors at TTC learning center. Thank you
This helped me out allot ... I'm taking my CDL license next week, and Air Brakes is the first test 🙃 .... Thanks 😉
This is the best video I have ever seen on truck brakes. I learned quite a bit.
The Best explanation professionally done.
Very helpful. I am testing for my air brake endorsements to be added to my Texas Class B, CDL. Visual illustrations, with verbal explanation by Greg were very helpful. I have a working understanding of Service Brakes v. Spring Brakes. Both component names and component function were effectively explained. Time to study... Thank you.
Thank you Canada for doing this especially thank you for using visual imagery to show all the details. Getting my CDL-a here in Minnesota

What? No such word exists in the English language
Good wark
So if im hearing correctly, when the air brake alarm buzzer goes off around 60 psi, the pressure in a standard size 30 chamber drops to around 1800 which causes an automatic release of the power spring in the rear diaphram because it pops your red and yellow buttons.
Thx
Amazing video bro.
So i do alot of tri axle trailer brakes. But the drum and shoe parts and i want to be able to help my clients when it comes to air brakes. Is there some sort of crash course i can do?
Thanks brother
Another question how to adjust slak adjuster
In ashok leyland for bs6 how to adjust slack adjuster and for good brake
please explain about those that use both air and oil thanks
My grandpa invented the spring brake!
I make this part(spring brake servgice brake) of brake in motherson company for VABCO
Why some airbrakes trucks failed to stop...and they say that they lose air? It means they don't use airbrake that stop when losing air pressure? Or they just only use service brake only without emergency brake?
Buen día , me ayudan con los videos en español y donde puedo descargar manuales en español, gracias
Which is better between both?
My question is then do spring brakes have a roter and brake pads?
This my profession , we call it Valcon
I'm trying to figure out where they're located on a trailer....
❤

Sir, is it necessary to replace brake air chamber every 3 years?
No, it is not. However, this question is somewhat dependent on the specific brake pots that you have in service. For example, the Haldex Life Seal product is a sealed unit with no plug so the likelihood of contaminants corroding the spring or the spring cage are incredibly low. This is why the product has a 8 year service life warranty. You may get even more years out of the product but Haldex provides this guarantee based on the quality design of the product. The Gold Seal product by Haldex has a 4 year service life warranty. So, unless you experiencing issues with the brake system, you do not need to replace every 3 years. If you are in the market for new brake pots, be sure to check them out here:

Thanks for this
When measuring the diameter of the clamp to determine brake chamber size, do you measure the inside or outside diameter?
I am not get no brakes in the back it is a service brakes system

These brake systems are much simpler than hydraulics in a car just that they are much larger components.
