Hmm - looking at the elevators, you might be right, but I have no idea why. I don't make an animation on them - I just indicate they're a control surface, and I thought I did that the way I usually do. I'll have to investigate further.
I think situation is really unfortunate, but they probably spent close to $60 million in development costs at this point. I doubt they brought that much money in in sales, so no, it’s not a scam.
I disagree that it was one from the very beginning - I think they got the IP to make a sequel and there was every reason to believe a sequel to KSP would do very well. At a certain point, though, and especially now with it still being sold on Steam without any statement about the real development situation, it got into scam territory. When it went from being an earnest attempt and turned into a scam would take an investigation beyond my capabilities.
I tried to do something similar with procedural part. Many hours wasted, it flew, but for me the real problem is not plane itself but the moment of dropping rocket. Never comes as i wanted. But you'll succeed, i'm sure :)
@@RaizSpace i don't know why but MAKS-like scheme is working for me (except of reentry, i suck in it), but dropping - no. lack of patience probably. it always end with one thought - why the hell am i wasting the time instead of building nice rocket for the same payload? :)
Having done a bit, if you make the center wing piece the root, it might help. From a model base, make the center wing a piece that can be a first part, after all, it needs the most structure. In doing so, maybe check out some of the catamaran type builds out there using base parts. idk if you have tried such, but I didn't hear it mentioned, so thought it might help. Then the cockpits should fit, and your lift and centering should work.
@@RaizSpace If you made the center wing bar a special component of its own, that could be the origin piece, regardless of other parts, the off center part issues from the hangar should be addressed. Whether this will allow the center wing to have lift in FAR, I am uncertain as I have been away from standard KSP and FAR a while. Last I was in it, I was working on a more real refuel and refurbish craft idea, as no mod seem to cover that. But in dealing with parts, when centering and roots applied, if I could set the center line from the start without having to change it, I had better results. I attempted massive SSTOs it mod parts a lot. and runway take offs were a problem for me as I couldn't seem to get the mass delivery levels I wanted to my acceleration altitudes in any kind of speed.
Very nice model!
Not sure if I am going mad but it looks as though the control surfaces are animated in the opposite direction to the aircraft movement!

Since KSP2 is now dead for good, can we all admit it was a scam from the very begining ?

I'd rather drop it than have it ride on the back like MAKS on An-225, I'll tell you that much.

I'm not sure you're addressing the problem of assigning lift to that wing under FAR.
