This is such an excellent interview. I used to shun Kumar for many years because I thought his jokes were in bad taste. My wife though was always a fan. ( We're both in our 50s). Lately he's caught my attention and I'm really very impressed with the person that Kumar has become or rather, we now get to see his off stage persona and I've grown to respect him a lot. There's a lot of valuable take- aways from this heart warming interview. Kumar is coming through as a real wise gentleman. Thank you for hosting him and I really hope that he'll see this comment.
This is a side of Kumar that many have not seen. Indeed, it comes from being of a certain age (meaning, life experiences) and I do sincerely wish him the best as he takes on the new challenges regarding mental health.
I really loved this episode, I'll probably watch again at some point. Been to a couple of kumar's shows in Singapore and loved it. Thanks for being so open and honest during the podcast. You did a great job as well Durga!!❤❤❤
Always interesting to watch Kumar having interviews. He is so different from his stage shows. I totally salute him and he is the one and only comedian for me
its true....i m also debt free....as a Muslim i cherish moderation in life....i dont measure myself by luxurious things to show to others....i value myself by my principles of being a gud and positive Muslim and achieve myself-goals... i do look up to certain successful individuals and containing myself within my principles and goals
How do I ...? I process my own thoughts. I checkout my own emotional temperature. I know what I want to me that means I know what feeling I want to end up having about that specific context that caused me pain. I know what I dont want means I already have some idea (i may be wrong) what kind of reception I might be getting in any context. I try not to discount others' thoughts/feelings if there be any feeling to consider (bc most people dont show their feelings), but in my empathic experience, I always give others the benefit of a doubt. I always wait for a response in stead of babbling to get a response. I find that most people like to talk alot. about everything and nothing in particular. It's find that perhaps people are ready to ask the right questions. I often wont give advice or opinions. I use "I" statement more. This way the person knows they themselves are responsible for their own actions/behaviors.
