He's an insightful, compassionate, and he's a very effective therapist. I'd say he's the ultimate "performance coach." Who here has the coursge to constantly tell the truth about oneself and see reality for what it is? From there, you can be anything, and achieve anything.
as I watch this video, I think of a man that I've fallen for... a man with 999-trillion RED FLAGS... and I ignore each and every single one of them because I'm desperately lonely and I ache so deeply, in my soul, for love... so I'd rather have the ILLUSION/FANTASY of love, from him, than have nothing at all. dear God, I hope this doesn't destroy me like my past "situation-ships" have...
He maybe is divorced many times but he's happy. I would rather choose that way instead of being married my hole life and getting depressed. An other example for this: This year were riots in London, one girl(with rich parents) took part in the riot, destroyed several shops and so on. To the newspaper she said: "I never felt so happy in my life" Why did she said that? In Blandon's theory it's because her parents (and the society) constantly told her how she SHOULD behave and to live by RULES
Sometimes I think US is absurd in a way that we, as Americans, gave so much of our money (1/3 of our paycheck) and then we relied on the government or a few politicians to spend our money, or to set up policies without fully consulting us? We really need transparency and honesty with our government and Blanton promotes that.
@utzutzutz90 the problem is, the didnt changed her thinking instead she started to live her life how other people want it. Her whole Life was a L-I-E! It's not her fault, but that of our society. Now back to the riots. The first time in her life she did something that she wanted and she "never felt so happy in (her) life".
@rvggarcon Yes he is, but he is happy with that. If you wouldnt be happy with that, its ok - but he is happy with that! Maybe the parents of the girl are lawyers. You are right it doesnt have to do anything about how rich or poor you are - rather about how you parents accept you like you are or tell to behave other (because rule xy says that)
You qanna kniw thw real reason they drolped him at the last minute? They couldn't have a guy whos dedicated his life to telling the truth get in office, start figuring out all of the dirty, underhanded shit thats going on, and then go running his mouth to the public about it. Which is exactly what he would do. Which is exactly the reason why i Would vote for him. He's the ideal public office candidate, actually. Because i wouldn't have to worry about him telling us 1 thing and him doing another. Now. Does that mean that i would agree with his stance on many topics? I don't know. Haven't heard his opinions on them. If he's a gun grabber, then no, if he'd mandate the ouchie as a prerequisite for taking part in society, no. I just know that the exact opposite of this guy is what we've had for the past eons, and they're the reason we're in the shape we're in..
I bought this guy's book, unfortunately. Life isn't as simple as he makes it out to be. He thinks honesty is a cure-all, but it simply is not. Also, he is fat and has been divorced numerous times. His life is not working out for him so why would you take his advice as gospel? Honesty is great, but it's not the be-all end-all solution to everything, and it's not ALWAYS warranted. Example, girl at high school dance asks you to dance: you don't say "No way, you're fat!"
...and then there's Obama (on the other side of the spectrum) People do want honesty, but they can't help but be judgmental...kind of sad really. I certainly would vote for him. Probably..
Being overweight isn't caused solely by stress. It's caused by lifestyle - a combination of diet and exercise, and genetics. But then, genetics contribute to emotional problems too, so this guys thesis is overly simplistic.
@utzutzutz90 Is that a joke? I used to go to a private school and my parents are relatively well off. Kids were having sex and doing drugs, anything they wanted to and payed people to do their homework, what kind of rules does the wealthy girl have to live by that the normal one doesn't? To be proper? Please. And your divorce excuse is oh so very convenient, he's supposed to have the perfect life because of his theory, but instead he's fat and divorced several times and lives ALONE.
Also agree, why are you putting this guy on a pedestal? His idea is great but he isn't this perfect prophet, he's fat and divorced numerous times. How is his life perfect after being radically honest?
Happy fucking Birthday Brad. We love you.
chris Ryan and duncan trussell rule
That's why I'm here too :)
"The truth is handsomer than the affectation of love."-Emerson
This guy pretty much echoes everything Emerson says in "Self-Reliance."
Cool guy, sorta?????!!! The coolest.
I love this guy
Go for it! I mean, oh jeeze I just love this man!
I love this dude. Brad Blanton, you are my personal hero.
He's an insightful, compassionate, and he's a very effective therapist. I'd say he's the ultimate "performance coach." Who here has the coursge to constantly tell the truth about oneself and see reality for what it is? From there, you can be anything, and achieve anything.
Love this guy. So refreshing.
as I watch this video,
I think of a man that I've fallen for...
a man with 999-trillion RED FLAGS...
and I ignore each and every single one of them
because I'm desperately lonely
and I ache so deeply, in my soul, for love...
so I'd rather have the ILLUSION/FANTASY of love, from him,
than have nothing at all.
dear God, I hope this doesn't destroy me
like my past "situation-ships" have...
this guy is a true hero
The best part about this honesty is that HE CAN'T BE BLACKMAILED like so many other Congress persons are!!!
This guy is great!
And he has defeated Cantor in the primary
Radical honesty -- crazy concept -- would love to see it in politics, but that'd just be me dreaming ...
He maybe is divorced many times but he's happy. I would rather choose that way instead of being married my hole life and getting depressed. Good stuff!!

honesty and politics, like oil and water unfortunately.
I think honesty is what Ron Paul won so many supporters for.
Come out to Missouri! I would so vote for you, just because you were honest. Even if it's not pretty, sometimes it just needs to be said.
BLANTON FOR PRESIDENT
I agree at least that he'd probably be better than Eric Cantor.
@Stinger911, tactics means to do something with consideration or discreetly. Tactics are lies becasue the full truth wouldnt be as effective
@utzutzutz90 the problem is, the didnt changed her thinking instead she started to live her life how other people want it. Her whole Life was a L-I-E! It's not her fault, but that of our society.

Meet up with Ron Paul
has he tried out sheep or those blow up sheep from sex stores??
hes a hero

virginia ball zone
WOW.
noble but goofy. honesty =/ verbalizing every single thought in your head
What video is this clip from?
This American Life Season 1 Episode 2
Legens
...and then there's Obama (on the other side of the spectrum)
People do want honesty, but they can't help but be judgmental...kind of sad really. I certainly would vote for him. Probably..

There's a difference between being dishonest and being tactless, but Blanton does not know the difference.
You can't be honest without being tactless
No being overweight is caused by overeating, which is closely related to stress and lying.
@utzutzutz90 Is that a joke? I used to go to a private school and my parents are relatively well off. Being overweight can also be caused by eating.
Also agree, why are you putting this guy on a pedestal? His idea is great but he isn't this perfect prophet, he's fat and divorced numerous times. How is his life perfect after being radically honest?
Are you implying that its wrong for a woman to have the same thing with men?
