The Mongolian beef is the third Marion recipe I tried with success. They are simple, tasty and easy to make. I am privileged to have a large Asian grocery store not far so getting the products is easy, even gojuchang! Thank you a million times Marion to make this possible for us.
As a Mongolian. I don’t know this recipe. It’s probably Chinese or something. We don’t marinate our beef with oyster sauce nor soy sauce. But it’s a good recipe though.
This is easily one of my most-often-ordered entrees, when The Girlfriend and I dine out at a Chinese restaurant. (Remember dining out? *sigh*) Now I'll learn to make it myself, at home. Thank you, Marion, you're the best! 👏
I cooked this twice, absolutely amazing. My boyfriend said he prefers this to take away noodles. This is a big win for me, because he doesn't eat much and he's very picky. Also, I love this recipe, I was looking for this for a long time. Chef kiss
Hiya, Marion. It's probably worth mentioning that you need to prepare your beef slices properly. Cut your piece of beef across the grain. If you cut it with the grain you won't ever get tender beef.
The beef came out so tender, it was amazing! Just like magic, melt in your mouth beef in a stir fry! The seasoning was flawless, too. Another awesome recipe, Marion!
I just made it for lunch and my wife and daughter loved it! This is my first time to try your recipe and this will definitely be not my last! Maraming salamat!!!
I swear to god this dish is one of my mid-week favourite dinner meals to goble down!! I have this dish every week! Its super simple easy to dish out, all pantry ingredients and you can change to any protein you like! Way better than the chow mein! But the technique of tenderising the beef with baking soda is great. Another cheap pantry item.
If you don’t mind me asking, is there a substitute for the oyster sauce? I’m anaphylactic to any type of seafood and was wondering what I can use instead of that for the sauce 🤔
I make this all the time, I've never used oyster sauce in mine though. I'll have to try it. I also always serve mine with fried rice, these noodles look soooooo good though!!!
Hi beautiful Marion, I am making this for my family tonight as your recipes are always on point. Update - I added sugar snaps, capsicum and celery at the end of cooking and it was a huge hit. Thank you
just made this just a while ago for dinner and it was delicious 😋 , Simple but flavourful. The marinade for the beef is a game changer x thank you for the recipe 🥰
im making this for breakfast tomorrow. ive got some thin stir fry/sizzle steak and this is the perfect recipe for it. and plus i love stir fried noodles
Because Mongolian Beef is an American Chinese dish, everyone has their own take on it. I prefer the P.F. Chang (who made it famous) version. That version with only beef, scallions combined with Lo Mein noodles would be excellent.
Omg delicious!! Marion I’ve said this before but you eat deliciously lol. You remind me of a show waaaay back called the Galloping Gourmet. The chef Graham Kerr ate deliciously as well. 😊🇨🇦
Hi! i made this recipe and it turns out amazing! beef tender as promised.. just a question, when i mix soy sauce, corn fliur and baking soda.. it froths like Cola.. is that an issue??
Haha, you and me both! But I have found that baking soda and corn starch even work wonders on cheaper cuts of beef. Those, and thin slicing, have never failed me.
Looks mouth-watering - it's on my list. But only 2 cloves of garlic? Surely it deserves more ... Unless the police come knocking on my door complaining about my garlic levels, I feel a recipe is a failure 🙂
Brown sugar is just white sugar with molasses mixed into it. Diabetics can usually have a small amount of molasses (aka treacle in Aus)... maybe just use a small amount with whatever sugar substitute you use in baking normally??
@@lucindas723, I am not allowed any sugar. I prefer to control my Diabetes without injections or medication. I don’t use chemical substitutes either. I was hoping I could add palm sugar if it is not as bad. I have never used it before so I wasn’t sure if it is really a sugar.
This recipe sounds like it's sweeter than most I've tried, and I'm surprised to see that there's no heat in it whatsoever. I've never had anything labeled "Mongolian beef" that didn't have a least a little kick. Not saying that's bad -- just different.
I have a question for non-American former and current colonies. If you call corn starch “corn flour,” how do you distinguish between the three items cornmeal, cornflour, and cornstarch? What do you call what we call corn flour?

Love it! Ty Marion. This is my lunch tomorrow sorted.
My mom loves mongolian beef! Thank you so much for your recipes, I'm so excited to try to make this for my mom at some point!
My favorite part is watching Marion tasting the food on every episode.
Creep
Tried the recipe tonight. As promised, your tip for tenderizing the sirloin worked like a charm. Keep the entrees coming!
I just tried it. Turn out so lovely! Thanks mom!! (Yeah you're my mom in TH-cam)
Very good dish. Beef so tender. Thank you so much!!! Me and my son are very happy this evening😋🍜🥢🥰
Soy sauce, corn flour and rice wine...3 ingredients in most every Asian dish! Baking soda is a great addition! thx

I made this for dinner, the meat was awesome, everyone loved it! Thanks from Utah!
A touch of chili 🌶 will be perfect.. For my liking 😋😋😋😋
Made this and all I can say is "wow"! It was so good.
looks like a simple version of this, must try, love this dish
I just made it for lunch and my wife and daughter loved it! This is my first time to try your recipe and this will definitely be not my last! Maraming salamat!!!
Making these tonight. My usual go to is the chinese pepper beef stir fry
Tried this recipe at home it was a hit😁 thank you for this quick meal. 👌🇹🇹
I just watched a mongolian beef video yesterday from you and made beef and noodles last night...and here it is again.

Made it for lunch today (but subtituted the chinese wine with mirin because that’s what i had in stock) and OMG it was a hit!! Thanks Marion❤️

@@rafaelalfaro7396 There is a vegetarian "oyster sauce" made from mushrooms, try to use that 🙂
Just made this and it was De-li-cious! Thank you so much Marion for sharing your recipe 😋
Mother of earth that looks INCREDIBLE

Eating noodles along with fried rice? Or a mix?
@@erenjaeger9902, with just fried rice.
@@michelleboedeker1799 ah
Thanks for the tips. Will be trying soon.
Have fun! I'll love it.😋
Last Christmas I was given a large cast iron wok.... amazing!
As always, your food looks incredible 🤗

Chinese Red Pepper? A dab'll do ya 🌶🌶🌶

just made this just a while ago for dinner and it was delicious 😋 , Simple but flavourful. The marinade for the beef is a game changer x thank you for the recipe 🥰

Mmmm that looks delish! Need to work out the carbs in that sauce, use low carb noodles (type 1 diabetic on low carb) and this will be a yummy dish.
First , make me hungry at 22 : 15 pm
Hi from Darwin Nt.. hehe
Yummy I love the food🍲 always ever my friend
Omg delicious!! Marion I’ve said this before but you eat deliciously lol. You remind me of a show waaaay back called the Galloping Gourmet. The chef Graham Kerr ate deliciously as well. 😊🇨🇦
Greetings from Mongolia
Beef looks so tender. So there’re sweetness, saltiness and then boom! ginger 😋😋😋
Looks crazy good. Thanks for sharing, Marion 😋💕
This one looks amazing and yummy🤤, But we dont use noodles or pasta
woohoo...another new recipe 😋 thank you!
Glossy 🤤
Looking Delicious 🤤
To find the amount of each ingredient just google "mongolian beef noodles recipe" and the second one that says Marion's Kitchen is it :]
Hi! i made this recipe and it turns out amazing! beef tender as promised..
just a question, when i mix soy sauce, corn fliur and baking soda.. it froths like Cola.. is that an issue??
I'm anxious to give this one a try. I love this beef dish & will enjoy it with the noodles.
Yummy 😊
My goal in life is being able to afford sirloin anytime I want like Marion and pretend it’s not expensive so I can cook it whatever way I want to.
Haha, you and me both! But I have found that baking soda and corn starch even work wonders on cheaper cuts of beef. Those, and thin slicing, have never failed me.
Great channel. I’m going to plant an Asian vegetable garden and work through each recipe. Might take a while!
I prefer your other Mongolian beef recipe with Flank steak. But this was nice to watch.
it looks delicious
Any exchange for the corn flour? Can you use pineapple juice instead of apple juice for non alcoholic?
I had to grab a tissue real quick, I involuntarily drooled in the first five seconds of this video lol!🤣
How about a bit of lemongrass added in with the garlic and ginger? Would that make it even better?
Go for it!😄 -Team Marion's Kitchen
If i want to use chilli flakes, should i put it before or after the beef?
Looks mouth-watering - it's on my list. But only 2 cloves of garlic? Surely it deserves more ... Unless the police come knocking on my door complaining about my garlic levels, I feel a recipe is a failure 🙂
What kind of noodles do you use?
It's delicious to eat. 🤤😁
Love it .
May i know what kind of noodle did you used?
Hello marion, can i ask what kind of noodles you use?
Very nice recipe
I have been waiting for this one. What can I exchange the sugar for please? Diabetic but allowed a little honey. ❤️

@@karenstrong8887 ah okay. Palm sugar and brown sugar are interchangeable so if you can have palm sugar definitely use that instead
@@lucindas723, thank you. I think I can and I don’t have to use as much. 🦋

Me: Wow what a nice dish!!

As always what a nice dish Marion!!
Loved it
Toasted sesame oil is your friend. It'll improve your dish by a lot.
Is there any Asian way to do potato wedges. I love your recipes so much.

can you please do either low carb or keto asiam recipes? please!?!?
This looks very good, will try this today. But I have to wonder, what exactly makes it mongolian? It reminds me of Lo Mein or Chow Mein.
I have a question for non-American former and current colonies. If you call corn starch “corn flour,” how do you distinguish between the three items cornmeal, cornflour, and cornstarch? What do you call what we call corn flour?
Any suggestions for a Chinese cooking wine replacement? It is impossible to get in my location.
Marion mentioned apple juice as a replacement
Can I use water instead of the alcohol?
It no different than Marion's many versions of the same: soya sauce oyster sauce and brown sugar being the taste makers
She actually made this video 10 months ago..
Doesn’t the baking soda make the meat taste bitter?
Yummy
I just ordered this at McDonalds drive thru and it was delicious! Thank you Maggie!
Does pineapple juice can be a substitute for apple juice??
