    "How big is Western Sahara?"
    "As big as Colorado!"
"... well, how bloody big is Colorado?"
Seriously, does NowThis think only Americans use the internet? I've gained nothing from this comparison. Can I just get the measurements? Or, if some people can't properly visualize that, can you try using actual countries instead? Western Sahara is a little smaller than Italy. It's a little bigger than Uganda. Comparing it to a US state is as unhelpful as comparing it to a Mexican one.

I am sorry to break it up to you but there will be no independence as the Sahara is in Morocco where it belongs. The UN has accepted the 2007 Moroccan proposal of "Local Autonomy under Moroccan Sovereignty" as a “credible” and viable path to a lasting resolution to end the dispute. Game over my friend If it wasn't for the Algerian Military Regime, all the Sahraouis that are entrapped in Tindouf would voluntarily return to their home countries as many others who miraculously escaped the torture and the harsh living conditions in the camps. Have you noticed that many African countries have opened their diplomatic missions (consulates) in the Moroccan Sahara?
So word of advice, stop getting involved as this doesn't concern you. The only people who I see will gain their independence is the Kabilye (Berber ethnic in Algeria) with their elected president Ferhat Mehenni who is fighting to get independence from the Algerian Military Corrupted Regime.

On one side: Communism is a political ideology as any other one. Regardless of the fear of America, communism can be used for good. Now, Polisario is leaning on the left-wing, yet is identifying as social-democratic.
On the other side: They get their education on two biased sides. The Moroccan one and the Algerian one. In Tindouf, they mostly get taught how Morocco is oppressing Saharauis and their culture. In Morocco they get taught how Greater Morocco is important for the Moroccan identity.
Cuba and Spain were only active in medical healthcare. While Algeria was and still is funding Frente Polisario's millitia, government and infrastructure in the refugee camps (Also the EU is funding Algeria for the safety of Saharauis).

Before that you were insisting Mauritania was yours as well, and now you don't even mention Spanish Ceuta and Melilla and no man's land Perejil/Leila Island. Nowadays you are begging Mauritanians to be more flexible re it's position towards WS. Strange how you divided Western Sahara with Mauritania in 1975 and then took over the half left by Mauritania in 1979, and was due recognizing its mistake and signing a peace deal with Saharawi Republic (recognized by more than 84 countries). You know what? Just get out of Western Sahara and leave its people in peace. None believes your story except you and ...you.

The morocca regime illegally invaded the Western Sahara in 1975. It used Napalm against the local unarmed population and hundreds were killed. Thousands fled with their lives to neighbouring Algeria, where they are still living in refugee camps. The region lives under a dictatorship where any demonstrations against the occupation are brutally crushed. There are hundreds of Sahrawi political prisoners in moroccan jails. Western Sahara has never been part of Morocco, and this was confirmed by both the UN and the European court, as well as by historical accounts. But the moroccan regime's greed makes it think that it can hold on to the occupation. However, war has broke in 2020 with the Sahrawi Liberation Army, now determined to drive the moroccan army out. War is likely to intensify in the coming months to full scale war as soon as the Sahrawi Liberation Army receives more weapons from their friends worldwide.

Therefore, as of today, the United States recognizes Moroccan sovereignty over the entire Western Sahara territory and reaffirms its support for Morocco’s serious, credible, and realistic autonomy proposal as the only basis for a just and lasting solution to the dispute over the Western Sahara territory. hello the information on the video is wrong ! How can Morocco be regarded as a newly formed nation after wwII ?
For your information, the Sahara region was part of Morocco, long prior to the colonization period. Before Spain colonized the Sahara region during WWII, it was Morocco's southern region that they had invaded, and not the so called ethnically Saharan people's republic or whatever it was called on the video !
Morocco only claimed its lands back after it got its independence from related colonizer. Other claims only come from groups of illegal militants. Period. Check your African civilization history books on the exact dates of the establishment of countries. Leave the ethnicity be unrelated to who shall claim sovereignty on a piece of land historically pertaining to Morocco who are one of the oldest civilizations in the northern tip of Africa.

Well, it's only you Moroccans who call it Moroccan Sahara. UN, African Union, Europe Union, the whole world calls it Western Sahara. Even your closest allies France, Saudi Arabia, US, Qatar, Spain and Israel don't recognize your fake sovereignty over it and call it WS not Moroccan. Only you Moroccans are stubborn on this issue.

All there was are tribes that pledged allegiance to Morocco just like other tribes all over Morocco. What makes the Sahraouis as opposed to Chleuh, ruffians... so special. What you are advocating for is secession. No modern state in the world will accept their territory to be divided. Also, the only historically known sahraoui people are the touareg. Do they have a state? The sahara extends from the Atlantic to the red sea, show me a "sahraoui nation" anywhere in that whole region. There isn't any. If you ir some members if your tribe feel you need a state of your own, by all means, head on to southern algeria or to Mauretania. It's a massive land mass and hardly anybody lives there except some tribes related to yours.
