  • The United States has been a united country ever since 1865. But what if for whatever reason today, the country split into 2 different countries along the lines of historically Republican and historically Democrat states? Watch to find out and leave your comments!

      @Ursus Americanus I don't agree with that. We have also had demographic issues for hundreds of years as will. What we have is an indoctrinated class who truly believe they have the right to define what is morally correct. You can not disagree or you are a racist, homophob, uncaring, and or unjust. The very ones who preach acceptance are the most unaccepting . All of this can be fixed with more freedom, not less.

    You list the Nominal GDPs, but you need to account for PPP as well. A dollar in New York is worth far less than in Mississippi. The PPP economy of the Red states is much higher than the Blue states because the vastly higher cost of living in the Blue states makes living similar qualities of life far costlier there.

    • @totalnewb123
      @totalnewb123 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      So then why is Mississippi taking money from NY through the Federal budget? Because it’s a poor state. Yes the cost of living in NY is more expensive but NY in total just like California pays more in taxes to support poorer states like Mississippi, Alabama, and even Florida. NYC residents have to pay NYC, NY state, and Federal taxes. Mississippi doesn’t pay any state taxes at all because they can’t afford it.

    • @unigaming9921
      @unigaming9921 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@totalnewb123 because while the cost of living is lower, the cost of government is not Mississippi still has to maintain similar infrastructure with a smaller population. In reality, many of these costs are higher for them because they are part of a federal union which has an overall higher per Capita nominal. It's a clash between the state ppp and federal nominal at work raising cost of many things including government.

    • @totalnewb123
      @totalnewb123 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@unigaming9921 but yet NY and Calif are still supporting them because though the cost of living is cheaper, it’s cheaper because the pay is lower in general for poor states and they couldn’t afford to pay state taxes which in turn would raise money for the state to support itself. This is also why poor states don’t have unions because to have unions to fight for employees to have higher means employers have to pay more money. But corporations can put jobs there because they can pay employees pennies while not paying any taxes to the government. No matter what color state we live in the wealthy class will always come out on top while the working class is stuck dying for their petty wars and our children stuck paying the debts for those same petty wars. I know some people don’t like Bernie Sanders and all but he does make some good points.

      3rd parties did regularly run in national elections up until one got closes to beating both them, so both the democratics and Republicans came to together and in a bi partisan way to get rid of them.
      Now for a 3rd party to be part of the national debates they have to b polling above 10%. But good luck finding anyone that has even been polled.

    I think what people don't take into account is that if the country did split there would probably be mass migration at the beginning. With those looking for social programs moving to the states that would most likely still have them. Also, those seeking more freedom and less regulation so people would emigrate to them as well. I believe it would be much more of a change than this video shows. Also some states would split in half before they would become all one or the other. Like most of New York that isn't New York city. This is why this would be much more drastic than you propose.
