  • John from www.discountjuicers.com/ compares all-new for Nama J2 Vertical Cold Press Juicer vs the Sana 727 Supreme Horizontal Slow Juicer so you can learn which juicer for 2021 is best.
In this episode, John will share with you a detailed in-depth comparison of the all-new Nama J2 Juicer that is designed to make juicing easier and save you time vs the New Sana 727 Supreme Cold Press Juicer that is now available in America that has been available in Europe since last year.
First, You will learn about all the different accessories that each of the slow juicers include and all the functions you can do in the juicer besides just making juice. You will learn how the Sana 727 can also make cold press seed & nut oils with the optional cold press oil attachment.
Next, you will learn how each of these juicers works as well as see a comparison of each part on the juicer, side by side so you can better understand how each of the juicers works. You will learn the size of the feed chute and how you juice the produce in each machine. You will learn how to properly assemble and disassemble each machine. The Nama J2 will not turn on unless it is properly assembled.
Next, you will discover the difference in the warranties of each machine, as well as the significant differences in motors in each of the machines, as well as how loud each juicer is in decibels. You will also learn which juicer is quieter and learn more about the customer service of each of the companies.
Next, John will juice even amounts of organic baby carrots and organic valencia oranges in each juicer, so you can learn more about the process that you must go thru to juice in each machine. You will discover how you must process the produce before juicing, and learn how long it takes to juice in each juicer and how much yield each juicer makes.
You will then discover the yield that each juicer made and which juicer made more juice. You will see which juicer put more foam into the juice. You will also discover how much pulp was put into the juice after juicing and hear John's opinions on the taste of each of the juices.
Finally, John will declare the winner of this Juice-off comparison review and share his pick for the best new single auger juicer for 2021 that he would recommend for you to buy.
After watching this episode you will know the differences between the two high-end juicers - the Nama J2 and the Sana Supreme 727 Juicer, and what makes them similar, but how they are different. You will learn how to use each juicer and what needs to be cleaned when you are finished juicing.

The Sana customer service has been among the most exceptional customer service Ive ever had. Even if I lose a gasket, they'll send a replacement without hesitation, as well as free scrubbing gloves. I'm glad to have run into you today because I was just looking at buying the Nama J2, when I ran into his video. I really like that you don't necessarily need to chop the veggies as much in the Nama j2 as you would on the Cold Press. However, I have had the Omega NC900C modal for over 7 years, and I have to say, I've never had any issue with it. With that, I often juice prior to heading out for work, and from start to finish, including washing the parts and reassembling the part onto the machine, it literately takes me no more than 5 minutes to juice, clean, reassemble and be out the door. So for that reason, I now thinking that the 727 Supreme Cold Press better fits my life style because it takes overall less time between prepping, cleaning and being out the door. Thanks for doing this comparison.

John, this video convinced me to get the Sana 727 Supreme. I ordered it from you on Tuesday with standard shipping and it arrived Thursday.
I might be your only customer who owned as many juicers, starting with the Jack LaLane juicer way back in the 1970s. That was followed by a Hamilton Beach that burned out on the first carrot I fed into the mach. Then I got an Omega high-speed centrifugal. Great juicer in its day, but a horror show to clean. It also went out of balance frequently, requiring manual adjustments. When it was even slightly out of adjustment, it would walk right across the counter as it made horrible noises. Think of an out of balance washing machine that eventually shuts itself off before it falls on its side.
Next, I got a variable-speed Breville. Two of them, actually, because the first one's motor burned out while it was still under warranty.
My wife has had a Green Star Gold twin gear horizontal juicer. It's a great machine for greens, including wheat grass, but forget about soft fruits and veggies. It has needed the gears replaced because the gears are partly steel and partly plastic. When the plastic breaks, you have to buy a new set of gears. It's also no fun to clean.
Next, I bought an early Omega vertical slow-speed juicer. It made good juice, but cleaning fibers from celery took way too long. I used tweezers and a plastic chopstick. It still took 15-20 minutes to get it clean. I got tired of all that wasted time, and I bought a Nama Vitality. It was easy to clean, and the juice was ok. Not great, but not bad. The feed chute was ridiculously small, requiring lots of prepping. And when you use that juicer, the vertical chamber where the juice collects moved side to side. The manufacturing tolerances are not all that tight. After about a year the feed chute and the juice collection bowl actually started locking on to the base of the juicer. There are a number of videos on TH-cam detailing how to get the parts to release. Until it happens again.
And now Nama is advertising the J2. Honestly, I was thinking about buying an Angel, but I am in my 70s now, and the Angel damn near requires a bank loan to purchase one.
Well, this video convinced me to try the Sana 727 Supreme. And I am very glad I did. It makes about 20% more juice than the Nama slow speed Vitality, and the difference in flavor is amazing. The Nama' s juice is decent. I was happy enough with it. But the Sana's juice is INTENSELY flavored. It's the best quality veggie juice I have ever tasted, and I have tasted a LOT of veggie juices over the past half century.
Thanks for a great review. I thought you might be exaggerating the virtues of this juicer. You were not. Even the cleaning process is a pleasure. Just rinse all the parts and use the included brush on the small screen. Total cleaning time is about 1 minute.
This is the last juicer I will ever need.

Easy to Clean is a highly subjective term, to one person its easy to one it is not. To break it down, objectively, while some may consider the J2 "easy" it takes me about 5+ minutes to clean the J2. The 727 on the other hand takes me 80 seconds, so the J2 is 3x longer, thus I would say its "not easy" to clean. However, I Would say the VSJ843 that takes me 3 minutes to clean is "easy".

I just bought the Sana 727 and I’m really happy with it. We were debating wether we should get the Nama or the Sana and in the end the sana won for us. It takes about 4/5 minutes to juice 500ml on the low setting with mixed produce (kale, carrots, lemon, celery etc). We don’t do batch juicing, we prefer drinking it straight after making it and the clean up takes less than 2 minutes! I owned an omega 8008 before but this one is definitely next level. I think the Nama J2 is the better choice if you want to make large amounts in one go and then store it in the fridge but if you want to make daily fresh juices I’d go with the Sana 727.

    • @GrayHomeVideo

I agree! I got the Sana on sale, so cost was comparable to the Nama J2, and I'm so glad I went with the Sana 727. I don't want absolute tons of fruit or sugar in my juice, and the Sana delivers great tasting green juices with minimal fruit needed. And I prefer fresh juice to stored juice, and short juicing sessions to lengthy ones (because of spine troubles), so the Sana suits me well. The cleanup is SO easy!
Thanks John for the videos you do that helped me find my perfect juicer!

  • @amymyrrh7816
    @amymyrrh7816 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

Thank you so much for this comparison. I keep "wanting" to purchase the Nama J2 because it looks so much faster and convenient...more likely to juice because batching would be easy. But I own an Omega horizontal already.....and you are right....the horizontal juicers give a better quality....plus I can still batch and the juice will retain value in fridge because its not at oxidized from the Nama J2 spin. Wow.....the grass always looks greener....but it is really hard to beat a horizontal augger juicer. Thanks again for all your honesty and detail!!!

The biggest selling point for me on the Nama was being able to load it and let it juice, so I can do other things while its juicing. Also a big plus for Nama is the way the bottom of the chamber unlocks to remove any of the jammed veggies like celery and pineapple that gets caught in all vertical juicers. Nama J2 is the best juicer on the market and I have owned at least 10 different juicers in the past 15 yrs.

I recently purchased Sana 727 and its just amazing. I don't have issues cutting fruits or doing prep before as its lot easier to clean and even if I have to make a glass of juice, I don't have to dread cleaning.
Just have one query, I have noticed that juicing screen does get a lot of pulp surrounding when I am done juicing. I know about Kuvings and they come up with rotating rings with flaps to keep the screen clear however Sana has no way to keep the screen clean. Do you think it affects the juice yield? I sometimes put pulp back in juicer to squeeze more juice out of it but that's not a problem with Sana as its easier compared to vertical ones.

I guess it's what matters to you. I don't like cutting and sitting there with a juicer. I also don't think the nama is hard to clean, lol. It doesn't take me that long to clean, but I clean it as soon as I'm done.
Nut milk, I make in my blender and use a nut bag. Never had any luck with any juicer making nut milk or butter. A juicer is for juicing and I juice a lot more now with the nama then I have done with other juicers.

The Nama j2 is five times as good as that other juicer simply because you don't have to stand there and feed the carrots through. I would rather buy a few more carrots then have to feed the juicer. The difference in yield is not that much at all. The benefits of the Nama far outweigh any other juicer. We have had the green life juicer for many years, but the cleaning and having to plunge the carrots sucked. The nama j2 is so easy to use that all four adults in the house are drinking juice again.

The Sana 727 is a single auger juicer. The Green Star Pro is a Twin Gear Juicer. Based on the scientific studies I have seen, twin gear juicers can be more effective at breaking open cells walls and liberating more nutrients than single auger juicers. That being said, of all single auger juicers, the Sana 727 does the best at grinding produce up from what I have seen. It is also dependent on the specific produce you are processing. Different juicing styles may produce more/less nutrition based on what is being juiced.

Why didn’t you cut up the rest of the orange and feed through the top it would have cut two minutes off. I know from experience. You didn’t use the nama correctly. The yield still be better in the 727 because of the low speed.

  • @mikemaverick7024
    @mikemaverick7024 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thoughts:
Why didn’t you weigh the output pulp also? Missed opportunity there.
Wasted a lot of time by not adding more to the NAMA J2 as it was juicing. If you’re sitting there anyway, keep filling it up. The orange stuck at the end wouldn’t have mattered if kept filling the hopper and then just use the reverse function for a couple seconds. Could have been done in 3 minutes. You were really lollygagging there!
People that juice would NEVER juice baby carrots. Not really a fair test. Yes you have to cut the WHOLE carrot in half or thirds for the Nama J2 but not much and you set it and forget it. For the sana 727 what would it do if you put a whole carrot in the chute? Would it just sit there churning without munching it unless you manually press it in?

Second time, the pin in the hopper lid fell out (meaning the lid no longer stayed closed from the backside). Both times Nama responded quickly and addressed the issue to satisfaction. I'm just concerned long term about the other plastic parts. If they just had a better warranty on the non-motor parts, I wouldn't be hesitant to recommend. Side note, the juice separates more than I hoped and is very foamy. I have issue with the term "cold press" juicer, as it's not a cold press, and the juice isn't like juice from a cold press so lower your expectations! Wish companies would stop using that term for non-press juicers.
With all that said, I do juice now far more frequency and have put my other juicers in storage. As much as I juice now, I wish I had space and $$ for a Goodnature M1.
