    What other folding ebikes do you recommend for sub $1300?

      Just a Foldable WTVA 750w Motor. I have no problem getting it to 30mph (throttle only). And for some reason when I use peddle assist in the beginning I felt I had to have resistance to keep the bike moving but you don't ... just peddle is all you have to do, and you can maintain 25mph.

    A 12 yr old girl died recently riding as a passenger on a RAD bike. These seats should not be installed by the supplier to encourage a second rider and end up getting sued just like is happening to RAD.

      People die all the time on bikes, not just electric bikes, while it's incredibly sad, doubtful it's the fault of Rad, or other manufacturers, people are responsible for their own behavior, despite narratives to the contrary...

      @@realeyesrealizereallies6828 Kind of like holding a scalding cup of drive-in coffee between your legs .......

    • @historicalaccuracy15
      @historicalaccuracy15 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TODinWY No, nothing like the hot coffee lawsuit - read further down to see why. Or just look it up if you don't wanna do all that reading idc. But unless this is a case of a seat failing well under its reported weight capacity only to be spun by the corporation to blame and sensationalist media to slander the victims of the failure then it's nothing like it at all.
      Nearly every single piece of the story of the infamous "hot coffee lawsuit" as it's popularly understood is completely, and downright slanderously, wrong.
      What people were told happened: an old grandma drove through McDonald's, got a coffee and squeezed it between her legs while driving, got lightly burnt by some coffee and saw an opportunity to sue and get rich and won millions.
      What actually happened? A relative (either son or grandson I believe) drove her to a McDonald's. The coffee wasn't just scolding hot as we normally expect coffee to be, it was completely burnt nasty to temperatures far above boiling - as they normally and routinely did - and McDonald's already had past precedent of horrible accidents as a result yet they kept having it burnt way hotter than it needed anyway. When it accidentally spilt it didn't just burn her a little, it gave her third degree burns all over her lap and genitals, with chunks of her skin dying and sloughing off in an instant.
      She didn't ask for millions, she didn't even sue at first. She only asked that McDonald's cover her medical costs so it didn't take away what was left of her retirement and change their policy to avoid issues in the future. Instead they sent her a check for only about $100, I believe. When she did sue and ultimately won, she didn't even win millions, it was somewhere south of one million. If I'm not mistaken McDonald's was also ordered to pay some daily fine until they could show they made an effort to correct their machines to a more appropriate and less horribly dangerous temperature.
      But I guess McDonald's didn't take too kindly to that, with the massive campaign of slander against the old victim that followed. That's not some story of some greedy old lady who can't take personal responsibility, that's a story of a greedy company mad they finally faced consequences for a long standing dangerous practice that was causing needlessly grievous injury, so they flexed the immense power of their wealth to make an example out of the poor old grandma their policies permanently disfigured, to not fuck with them or they'll ruin you one way or another rather you win the case or not.

    • @savemankind738

      It probably would not matter even if the company goes bankrupt or just walks away , because if you look at the components on this bicycle , they are all generic and lots of other companies use those components. What you want to watch out for is if a company does something different for example bionx systems on ebikes . Bionx went belly up and people with Bionx motor, battery and displays were left stranded

      I know that and you know that but the average consumer doesn’t. The problem is that you have TH-camrs making a living flipping these things and never mentioning how established the business is or warning that you will have warranty problems when this company disappears into thin air. That is also why no local bike shops want to work on these things.
