Thank you, Sean cuts hair, that white Barber jacket helped a lot, as well as no gloves While cutting the top ! Also thank you for saying, especially, instead of exspecially, lol!!
Hey can you do a video of just styles and style names. I ha e the hardest time with some of the names and styling the hair after the cut. Thanks man! Love your vids i learn soooo much from you. I appreciate you!
@@Seancutshair I appreciate the feed back man would I still get a blurrier look with the closed to open half guard method on that guideline would you know? Cause currently I’m fading that way
Maybe this is something that doesn’t make sense to ask for but would love a video on how to approach the parietal ridge, feel like it’s making or breaking my haircuts at the moment
The area above the parietal ridge should have some length to leave the shape more square. Once you get above that it ends up being more of a fauxhawk on top.
Hey Shawn I just commented lol but I also have another question, do you think you could make a video on the differences between a high, mid, and low taper? No pressure but that’d be super helpful! Also can’t wait to see u in Toronto next summer!!!
Great simple cut! Same thing I do for myself and one of my kids, minus I tend to fade down closer to a 1/2 guard usually since it grows so fast. Need to work on my fading though as it does take me more time vs just running with a 2 or so on the sides.
Nice clip mate, just a question on clippers, you have a ton of them, what are the best overall. And if I was to just change blades on my old wahl, what would be the right choice. I’m a buzz cutter, but I would like to do my sons hair a little, short fade, much like this vid
The fx one lo pro set is my favorite these days. The influencer lo pros are nice as well and they’re doing a bundle deal right now. Always ran the Wahl 1006 blade on my wahls.
Did your comb cut to a 1 1/2 instead of a two or is his hair just weirdly darker in the back and at the bottom? Seems like it might have been a little shorter at the top and more dense at the bottom, and could just be my eyes playing tricks, but it seemed to tie in a lot better in the back once you went over it with the 1 1/2! I'm trying to learn using gradients moreso than just relying on guidelines so hopefully I'm getting my eyes trained right! Looking forward to your class on March 10th, got my VIP ticket!
He has that hair that sticks straight out. If you notice as I turn the chair you can see through it in some spots and it’s dark in others. Almost didn’t post this!
Why in this tutorial was it easier for you to use the clipper over comb instead of using your typical 3 or 4 guard and floating into that top length? Having a hard time figuring out what’s easier/faster for fades with length on top. A 4 or clipper over comb?
Clipper over comb gets much shorter so I use guards if I'm trying to leave more length. On a cut like this that just short and tight, I get right through it with clipper over comb.
Hey I’m a student currently in barber school, could u explain what a shadow fade is? And then what’s a 1 fade? Are they the same thing? Maybe you could make a video on them that’d be awesome! But also I’m not sure how popular those cuts are I’ve just had one or two people ask for them at school.
@@Seancutshair so for a one fade, would u create your first guideline with the one up, and then from there fade up normally using the 1 open, then 2 open, then 3 open?
@@maguireallen5121normally a one fade you’ll go from a two to a one. So what i like to do is take my 1 1/2 guard open, go up take the bulk out set a 1 1/2 closed guideline slightly below it, then slightly below that take the one guard closed and set a guideline there.
It’s just the way his hair grows. It sticks straight out so depending on how he’s turned sometimes you can see through and see skin? Sometimes it lays to the side and looks dark
Clean and simple nothing beats it! When I was growing up going to my uncle’s barbershop, all my friends and I used to get this because all the guys that were older than us had this and looked so cool. We call it the “Gerardo’s Special” and when my friends come to me for haircuts now they still get it and we always appreciate how classic and good it always looks haha. Keep killing it my man! 🤙🏼
Sean you own a barbershop i just started a barbershop its been4 5 months now. I wanna ask you some questions bro is it cool if i dm you on insta? Or can i email you?? I got no idea since there a few people people who has barbershop but i can’t reached out to them. Please help me out

Clean and Simple. I appreciate your teaching style. 🤙
Glad to hear that!

Like these kind of tutorials occasionally. I feel like it can be kind of easy to get caught up in over complicating things.
absolutely!
Hey Sean, where can I get that barber apron that you wear, that’s hella clean

I’ve been meaning to!
Love the video! Always the best advice! Can’t wait to see u at the CT barber expo next year…
I’ll be there!!!
🎯 True.Good job brother👍🏼 sometimes I switch it up and use the detachables too and finish up with regular. Quick n easy as well.
Yeah this is definitely a detachable friendly cut
Nicely done I will give this a try with my dad since he doesn't like a fade.
Perfect!
I been fading down lately. I found out that been working better for lately !!
It definitely has its place
Hell yeah brother
👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Would you recommend using the half guard closed to open blending out the one open guideline ?
I use the 1 open then closed, then half half open

I’ve been meaning to I just don’t cut very much these days. I’ll see what I can work up

Yeah you can customize it however but the base haircut is simple 👌🏻
Hi quick question babyliss fx3 trimmer blade or graphite 2.0 blade ?
Fx3 is sharper but almost too sharp for kids and other situations.
What song is in the background around 3 minute something mark? 9:55 mark?
Not sure I get all my music from epidemic sound
Wow, no kidding that was quick. I might try this on one of my boys next time he sits down. So what's this about Toronto?
There’s a show in Toronto in July I believe! I’ll be there for the first time!
@@Seancutshair If it's open to the general public, I'll try to make it.
@@Seancutshair Almost $80 Cdn to get in & no mention if it's open to the general public. So I'll pass but have a great show.

Would this be called a high and tight or something different and do have ur clipper on when doing clipper over comb or closed
A high and tight is a skin fade so no, I use the clipper open

A shadow fade is just enough hair at the bottom to still get a line up, a 1 fade would be a 1 at the bottom and faded up to whatever is on top

Not trying to be rude but it looks like there is a big dark spot in the back, maybe because of clipper over comb?
