- Hello everyone and thank you guys for coming by and checking out the video! I am flying at (S.I.R.S) Central Illinois Radio Society! This little jet is absolutely awesome! It flies on rails with no gyro or anything on low rates. Definitely on the trainer level with the way that this one flies. I can move my battery back a little for the next flight but she still flew amazing! She was pitching down with the flaps a little more than I wanted to, but I was able to adjust that easily. It is basically the 70mm Rebel with upgrades to landing gear, electronics, and paint running on 6S instead of 4S.
It looks like an upgraded stinger 64... now a stinger 70.. with landing gear, running on 6s. Just my take. The Rebel didn't have quite the sweep on the wings as this one from memory...
I have never had the rebel before. I do like the 6s power of this. It claims in the manual you can run this off of a 4s 4000 as well. Thank you for watching!
@@hamiltonshangar Neither have I. But I can recognize the same design without having owned one. Slightly bigger than the Rebel, but essentially the same form.
@@nickhayley Just comparing them on Motion. It actually looks like the Stinger and Rebel had a baby that grew up to be this plane. Lol. The Stinger actually has more wing sweep than this plane, the Rebel has less. The Stinger looks short and stubby compared to this plane, which looks more stretched out like the Rebel. Intakes are rounded and blended like the Stinger. Canopy, nose , and dorsal ridge look more like the Rebel.

I led the design team for the Vulcan (and the Stinger 90 years ago, and almost all Freewing birds in between), and I can say that the Vulcan is materially different in several ways. Some obvious, but most not readily visible in the physical model until one flies it.
I think it would be fun to do a live walk-through of the model's 3D CAD, to highlight some of our design choices that make the Vulcan a worthy successor to the aging Rebel and Stinger configurations.

Nice !! I just love 70mm Jets. And the gear look strong.... But I like a clear canopy with a pilot, and adding LEDs is a must. It is a beautiful jet and would be a fun project. Keep them coming 👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻
Thanks for watching Eric! The gear are very nice, I am going to do grass opp's today to test them out as well. You'd be surprised, this canopy looks good with that sleek silver. Tight space for the LED's but I am thinking of adding them myself, but just more wires to deal with. The easy lights might be the ticket on this one!

Did you have a elevator flap mix also great flight
I have the flaps in a flight mode so I can adjust the elevator pitch depending on what the flaps do and it stays in that mnode when I use the flap switch. allows to adjust in all conditions.
I like this channel because it's an adrenaline rush, just like my jet flying

5 minutes from take off to touch down with a 4000 mah is pretty good and 25% left. You could probably fly with 3300 mah and get 3.5 to 4 mins take off to touch down if all you had was 3300s and they are around 200gms lighter which will help the grass take offs.

Im about to order but cant deside between the avanti 80 mm or this vulcan 70mm and I will be flying from a grass field but both seems to handle grass fine.. 🤔
