- The Cirrus SR22 is a single-engine, four- or five-seat aircraft that's been the best-selling general aviation (GA) airplane since 2003: The SR22 was the first FAA-certified aircraft with a glass cockpit, which features a primary flight display and a multi-function display. It also has a whole-plane emergency recovery parachute system, known as the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS).
Start-up, taxi and depart from (KAVX) Catalina Airport. It is a privately owned airport located 6.4 miles northwest of the central business district of Avalon, California, United States, in the middle of Catalina Island. The airport is open to the public and allows general aviation aircraft to land there.
Fly "round-about" Catalina Island and over top of the central business district of Avalon. Then land, taxi, and park for arrival right back at (KAVX).
