If you're planning on buying dehancer product use code: EDOU10 for 10% off your purchase. This is obviously my person take on the look from memory, in the future I will do videos on exactly recreating certain looks. Any suggestions are welcome in the comments!
Hello, great, Sorry I will use a translator, I don't speak English, I would like to know what configuration I could give in Dehancer Pro for images in REC 709 and drone clips with dji with dcinelike profile?........ and also know if it is used in a node after the CST?, Thank you!!! 👍👍
Hello! No worries, I can understand. So, if dehancer has the profiles you are working with you should do it inside of dehancer itself. If you are working with profiles that dehancer itself doesn't have I like to convert it to DaVinci Intermediate/DaVinci widegamut before the dehancer plugin. I prefer to use dehancer at the end as the CST, so I would do basic adjustments before dehancer and then dehancer transforms it into my final output format.
Above all I prefer to do everything myself, but dehancer and DCTLs are very different tools. For more technical tasks like halation, grain, density I prefer dehancer because it has a proper engine. But for basic color grading I prefer using DCTLs. So in the end a combination of both is the best.
I just stumbled on your channel and am really impressed with your color knowledge! I'm wondering if I could use your Real Film Powergrade to do this "look"? Basically why did you choose dehancer over your own Powergrade? Thanks for any help!
The main reason was that my Powergrade wasn't out yet when making this video, it was still n development. But the second reason is that the Powergrade is not made to be a recreation tool, it's mainly made to create a look from scratched based on the base look. It's less controllable but that doesn't mean it's not possible to use it to recreate any look you'd want, it would just require more work because of the nature of a Powergrade vs a plugin. Hope that clears some things up!
Ok very interesting take on that. I'm still learning on how to color grade my footage and wondering when to use a plugin/powergrade/native tools or if its all just a matter of preference / skill / & time available. Thank you for the help and the great resources on TH-cam!@@edouhoekie
My color management settings in Resolve itself are set to default. Besides that the color management shown within the Dehancer itself is set like in the video. Sometimes you cannot achieve the same look because it depends on the footage you've shot and how the environment is lit. You need to find an environment that looks similar in color and in lighting as the shot you're trying to match because the look is not only created in color grading but also on set.
Skies are completely blue still. Slightly more teal but that's the point. It's also quite a green movie if you've ever seen it. Thanks for the feedback! 🙌

@@edouhoekie Perfect, thank you very much...
Which do you prefer for color grading - dehancer or DCTL?

@spencerbigum1309 You can do everything without extra tools, the tools are just there to be time savers! Except for my niche things of course.
@@edouhoekie thanks again for your time and valuable insight!
@spencerbigum1309 You are welcome! A new video every Monday 🙌
Hi what is your color management settings? I tried everything but still failed to get the look like one in your video tutorial

Good!!!!!!!!

I've never seen emerald green jeans. I think if here was sky it would be emerald too. Anyway it's my opinion
