Thanks for the inspiration. I'm gonna experiment with these profiles right now. Just a quick annotation. Color density is not the saturation of the image but in film the image cant be saturated and very bright at the same time so density brings down the luminance of the high saturation areas.
Thanks Vic! Been playing around with this plug for a few days now and this helped me figure out exactly how wrong I was using it. Excited to start creating with it!
Of course I’m happy to help!! :) I get you, I was having some trouble figuring it out at first too. That’s awesome hyped to see what you create with it!! 🙌
This color grading workflow looks so easy but the results are insane! Are u work with the standard SLog 3profile Victor? And congratulate to the winner!!! 🥳🥳🥳
Hello and likewise! I’m not too sure as I’ve never tried working with HDR, but there is a free trial you can download on their website and give it a try :)
Really want to get this plug-in but for some reason it's bogging my Mac way down. It should be plenty beefy enough to handle it, but it chokes the frame rate considerably. Are you editing on a Macbook M1 Max?
Hello! I currently run it on a 2020 Macbook Pro M1 and it does slow my playback down significantly on full quality, but what I do is go to the playback tab at the very top, go to timeline proxy resolution, and select half or quarter resolution and it plays back much better :) And when you export it will export out in full quality! Let me know if this helps! 🙌
@@victor.melchorfilm Thank you! perfect suggestion. after emailing blackmagic back and forth they couldn't suggest this simple fix 🤦 again, thanks for your help. love your work!
@@GoodCreatureProductions Hey of course I’m glad it helped!! :) Ah man haha, yeah I remember a while ago in Premiere pro they had a similar timeline resolution setting that helps, so I tried it in resolve and it sped things up a lot more! And thanks so much I appreciate it! 🙌
Thanks for sharing, brother! I always love the look you have on Mike's channel. Just killer! Dehancer reached out to me and I was wondering if you had any concerns sending them banking info (I assume you did so they could pay you for your affiliate link?) Things working smoothly with them? Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!
Hey thanks so much man!! I get you, I was definitely a little concerned initially too, but they’re legit and no issues with giving them banking info! I gave them my paypal info and it’s been smooth! And you can keep track of all the affiliate link purchases through your account once you sign up! I did have to reach out for the month of November as I didn’t receive it yet, but they quickly responded and I received the payout 2 days later :) Hope this helps!!
You still can, you would just leave the camera selection at Rec.709 instead of slog 3. But I personally have never tried it so I can’t guarantee the best results with s-cinetone. Also to get the most dynamic range you’d need to record in Slog 3 in SGamut3.cine. Hope this helps!
@@gettriggered8404 No problem! I’m not entirely sure if Dehancer works with the free version but what you can try is download the free trial of dehancer and see if that’s compatible with the free Davinci version. If you can I would definitely recommend getting davinci studio because you’ll have a lot more options of video files and codecs that work with it.
Also if you are looking to save some money on Resolve studio you can find some licenses on ebay for a bit cheaper! www.ebay.com/itm/266906736473?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=nYUx7uwFRYq&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=6IMMHtY5Su6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I know it might seem sketch but ebay has a a really good buyer protection program that ensures you’re not getting scammed

Does the slow playback only kick in after adding grain and halation or is it there the moment you apply Dehancer + film print? Thank you!
