  • Some very nice ploughing at the Five Nations match held near Whitchurh, Shropshire, England as part of the Whitchurch YFC ploughing match which will be in a separate video.

    Nise ploughing great to watch and very interesting. You can learn a lot off ploughmen like these fellows by watching what they do going about all their adjustments. Very well done to them all.

    What are the challenges? Speed? Straightness? Amount of soil turnover? Depth? Fuel consumption?

      This needs a complex answer but if you want a quick idea, all furrows should be identical and perfectly straight. If that sounds simple you haven't tried it.

    Hell of a difference between a match plough and a standard. Nae Fermer is going tae pit up with that nonsense in his field. As long as you know the headland isnae for having a blaw in! Yer good.
    Keep up the fancy work though, it's a dying art.
