It's real nice to plow ground that's been turned so so many times like you see here... but, it's a totally different story plowing virgin ground that has been in sod for decades.
The Jeep is cool. My dad and I once plowed out a crop of potatoes with a 1968 Toyota Land Cruiser and a horse turning plow chained to the trailer hitch.
@@darrinrussell3526 No, I sure didn't. That was in 1973, before cell phones or readily available hand held cameras. We were just happy we didn't have to dig them out bt hand. That 'Cruiser was one of the most fun vehicles I've ever owned. Wish I still had it...
The proverbial wheel has come full circle & history has repeated itself , My appreciation to this guy with the blue jeep & hydraulic conversion , but Harry Ferguson did something similar very basically to this with a Ford model T car & Eros plough conversion kit in Northern Ireland , roughly 80 years ago , this is the time pattern it takes for history to repeat .
Looks good, looks fun. Really liked everyone in this, except one of them - modern Case... really? He just beats all them out of competition. It is absolutely obvious that modern tractor with modern plow makes same job much better and much faster. Anyways, thank you for this video! Next time i'll show it to some people who still think, that modern tractors are not as good as old generation was.
Очень интересно,засмотрелся,даже знаменитый трактор увидел Джон Дир.Очень сделан продуманно и плуги .Для себя сделал вывод как нужно мне доработать мой плуг.
Those horses were beautiful and set up for the next line was flawless
Agree, the horses were great!
What a great looking team at 1:42. Pulling so smoothly and evenly.
Strong pullers for sure.
Yes, they weren't struggling at all to pull the plow.
I like the performance of red color tractor came after the blue jeep
Amazing work everyone. The horses wear a sight to see as well. Bravo
Yes. Thanks.
Horse's plowing, AWESOME!😍👍
5:32 Loved the jeep. It's a CJ 5, I guess. We had the similar one in my childhood, I vaguely remember the details, a really strong build.
Yes, the jeep was very nice to see.
That Jeep plowing is pretty cool 😎
Nice Jeep. 😊

For sure. Stubble ground plows nicer than sod.

Cool, did you get any pictures or video?

Love the 2 horse plowing. Beautiful draft horses..
Thanks. They did a good job.
Thank you for sharing. I really liked the horse team. Belgium draft horses? Lovely!
Yes, I think they were Belgians.
Loved the horses, the old John Deere at the end didn’t seem too phased about whether the plough was in the ground or not !
Thanks,
😊de
Love hearin' them draft horses and old thumpers run...
Superb matched pair of horses

If I can find a model T with an Eros conversion I'll upload it to TH-cam for the world to see.
Well done mate , try Ferguson Heritage here in england , or maybe the Coleridge Collection in Devon . @@darrinrussell3526
The 4x4 Jeep was pretty impressive on a 2 bottom plow. Don't think it will outlast a diesel tractor, but anything in a pinch!
they were built for that, after the war you could buy a jeep and plow combo
There's one not too far from me with a backhoe on it.
nice to see farm jeeps getting recognition, those old jeeps were used for EVERYTHING after the war
Could be a bit more comfortable than a tractor in cold, stormy weather. Just put a top on it. Heat, dry.
Good work 👍
these rudimentary devices give great effect
Good job all tractor workers❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love the jeep
Support your farmers ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I an holding a plowing contest in my field as well, and after that there's a weeding contest, and then a dishwashing contest. Come on over!
Excellent, are there any prizes for best performance? Or is it simply the satisfaction and pride of a job well done?
@@darrinrussell3526 Whatever sticks to you plow 😂
Espetacular
JEEPINHO BRABO...SHOW

Thanks
Nice. Jeep
great old school...
Thanks

Thank you. Yes, Gene Gruber did an excellent job.
Might be too early in the vid but no steam?
I’d think they’d put in in one pass from the amount of plows they’ve demonstrated pulling
No steam tractors were participating in the contest.
Who makes that plow @ 6:07
That's a Kverneland plow.
@@darrinrussell3526The best plough there is .
Never seen one like it before.@@darrinrussell3526
I'd like to know what makes a winning plow job. Didn't look like anybody was trying to impress with depth.
Straightness of the furrow is a huge factor.
straight furrows, pulling your plow out at the right moment, dropping it at the right moment
Which setup is yours?
None of these are mine. I was simply an observer.
About what do the older Jeeps run$$
No idea, I'm sure it varies based on condition.
ive seen them advertised for $300.00 up
these heavy horses eat more than they can work a day :-)
Maybe, it's mostly about fun with them.

…. Лихой , однако, синенький джип, не напрягаясь двухкорпусной плуг тянет, будто так и надо…😊…
What are the rules and goals?
Go to the United States Plowing Organization's web page. USAPO.org. Rules and goals are there.
Good
👍👍👍❤
Wow
Who won?,
Results are at USAPO.ORG.
Id rather do this than be stuck in a city full of couch potatoes ! 😂
For sure, thanks.
the guy on the case at the beginning had no idea how to plow or how to adjust his plow properly
The guy on the 730 was practicing.
💛💙✌️
How come everybody looks so confused I don’t look like they have a clue what’s going on
The drivers weren't confused.
I hope this was not a race to get the job done! They were all running half speed or lower.
1st gear at just above idle for most of them.
Use mule instade of horses. Easy manure spreading.
Lol! I've no control over what they use.
@@darrinrussell3526 :)
What if they have a accident in your face? 😂😂

Haven't seen a lot of people plowing with a jeep? Must be a Russian thing?👍😎
This was near Dillsburg, PA, not Russia.
no not a russian thing.
