This man right here, Isami Amemiya, is beyond legendary. V-Opt recently ran an interview with him and it is fascinating. Starting out poor but rich in his passion, this man has dedicated his entire life to the tuning industry and had perfected his craft on rotaries to the highest level anyone can only dream of reaching. Amazing to see him still putting in the hard work despite being in his 70s, passion and dedication surpasses everything. As long as rotaries exist, there will always be one RE Amemiya.
One of the things that I really loved from this video and the one from Mine's is the workshop's atmosphere: the "controlled mess", shelves full of parts everywhere... really interesting! Thanks for sharing, I really enjoy these tours around those iconic workshops
Hell yea finally a detailed review of RE Amemiya. Sometimes if feels like yhe younger car guys dont know about these legends. From his wangan/ highway car to his JGTC car. Now to finish the video because I stopped 10 seconds in to like and comment lol.
Familiar with dino from the early speedhunter days but new to his channell and I gotta say, im loving these classic tuner shop tours of all the places I drooled over 25 yrs ago. Grew up on best motoring and option!!
As a FD owner and RE Amemiya fan I really enjoyed this video. Getting to see essence of the brand and those little details that other YT miss is where the gold lies. Great vid and look forward to the next one.
Another awesome video. Love their machines- Especially screaming around Tsukuba, taking on R34 GTR's. Keep bringing us this great content Dino. Give's those of us not in Japan a real insight into the car culture.
The knowledge you provide and locations visited are absolutely insane!!! Appreciate what you do very very much Dino. Could watch/listen to you speak about every location you visit literally all day everyday NO BS lol.. Keep up the phenomenal content sir!!!
Another quality video ❤ The big rear spoiler on 22SAc looks very much like part of the old group c touring kit, Allan Moffitt- Peter Styvenent with the big flares and front bar. Keep up the great work 👍 👏
Great video Dino, yes RE Amemiya are turning legends. It blows me away how long they have been around. I’m happy that you did this story. I haven’t thought of this garage forever. It looks like they are still very relevant today. I really like the human approach to motoring you provide in your videos. Keep living the dream.
Wild shop. Its on my bucket list to visit for sure, i have seen first hand of a supposed genuine ex Tokyo Auto Salon RE Amemiya FC3S. It had a fully built interior, big single turbo, full RE body kit with a cracked front bumper, RE parts throughout, its red & sexy, i want to save it, its just sitting & rotting in a barn in northern Ontario Canada, guy wont sell it even when i offered a ridiculous price. if i could find a picture of it sitting in the tokyo auto salons show floor or something i would love to show the owner. I still hope he calls & says its for sale but so far not yet
As a retired technician I enjoy the shop tours, never worked on a rotary. I do remember in 1970 a soldier in the Canadian army brought over a NSU wankel, man there was oil all over the place, nobody wanted to work on it.
Dino I read a LOT of the stories you did on Speed Hunters, I'm glad I finally found your channel (recommended because I watch a lot of Larry Chen) . Every car that I have on NFS heat has SPEAD HUNTERS on it
I hope you visit the Techno-Pro Spirit shop someday. Their MRSs laid waste to anything on the touge courses back in the day and their current Time Attack monsters are super interesting for how stubborn and creative they get.
Come sempre video stupendo, penso che non ci sia molto da aggiungere semplice senza molti fronzoli diritto al sodo della questione, le immagini parlano chiaro!! Continua così 👏👏
I love rotary cars, but have 0 experience with them(and in a sense, not knowing how to maintain/upkeep one scares me as I tend to be a hands on type). Back before the market exploded, I had an opportunity to get my hands on a anniversary model FC(but that was also back in my student days, before I even got my first job, so naturally, no money to throw at one), and while I still rue not making a point of closing on that chance, I likely would've just ruined a perfectly good car with collectable value...
What's the song at the intro btw I love RE Amemiya I remember watching video option and his like mint color RX-7 with chrome Enkei Wheels hitting under a minute at Tsukuba.
My idea to you to re advertise Japan cars to the world in USA, ITALY or anywhere in the world. You can gain a money from your hobby. All the best & have a great life. Abdallah

ugghh dear god that Rx8 looks AMAZING
I know right
Not enough of them around anymore, especially that nice!🤘
Dino it is like you have a direct line to Cool. Every episode you deliver is just major major major major.
🙏🏻 thank you!
So true...surprised he dosent have more followers.

Organised chaos I like to call it. Describes Japan on so many levels

Consider this a first taste. More to come from the other shop in Chiba!
Familiar with dino from the early speedhunter days but new to his channell and I gotta say, im loving these classic tuner shop tours of all the places I drooled over 25 yrs ago. Grew up on best motoring and option!!
Thank you! Btw I’m still on Speedhunters 👌🏻
My favourite remains his take on the Mazda Chantez, that car was insane!
Oh yeah remember that
So cool thats its a legendary shop with apartments above.
As a FD owner and RE Amemiya fan I really enjoyed this video. Getting to see essence of the brand and those little details that other YT miss is where the gold lies. Great vid and look forward to the next one.
Thanks for the feedback 🙏🏻
Aside from the amazing rotary builds, I personally have a deep respect for Amemiya-Sam’s historical impact on Japanese car culture 👍
Another awesome video. Love their machines- Especially screaming around Tsukuba, taking on R34 GTR's. Keep bringing us this great content Dino. Give's those of us not in Japan a real insight into the car culture.
Thanks for the feedback ❤️ will certainly continue to do so 🤙🏻

I love those really old Japanese rims! So retro and eccentric.

Glad you enjoyed it. I mean if I had a rotary I’d love to have it built by Ama-san!
Love these shop tours! Thank you Dino
really enjoy watching japanese tuner shops.

Lol an NSU, I’ve only ever seen a handful in Europe
I love this, thank you for putting more light on Rotaries
Wow! I would love to visit such an iconic tuner and have them tune my FD.
Love your content, especially on yt. Remember reading your coverage on 7’s day for for years on SH
Take care man
Thanks for the long follow 🤙🏻
This is so sick my dude. I knew his shop was small but damn. That was a cool stop by. Thanks DC
Glad you liked it
Best Motor content on youtube. Love your work from photos to the videos :D keep it going and you´ll be as big as larry chen soon
Great video, always wondered what their hq was like. So cool that he lives there!
Dino I read a LOT of the stories you did on Speed Hunters, I'm glad I finally found your channel (recommended because I watch a lot of Larry Chen) . Every car that I have on NFS heat has SPEAD HUNTERS on it
Thank you for the long following! This TH-cam thing is a new venture, just started 3 months back so hoping more people find me!
@@dino_dc let's go Dino! your content is always great
🔥🔥🔥 love the cinematic of the guys working making art 👌
I hope you visit the Techno-Pro Spirit shop someday. Their MRSs laid waste to anything on the touge courses back in the day and their current Time Attack monsters are super interesting for how stubborn and creative they get.
I’m sure I’ll get to TPS too! 👍🏻
Mind blown 😮i had no idea Amemiya-san had two shops! Thought Chiba was the only location. Next time i am in Japan this will be on the bucket list!
I get happy like a kid in a candy store when you post .
Thank you 🙏🏻
Love it. Been a fan of RE and the rotary. I have a tattoo inspired by RE.
Thx Dino for providing us with some Amemiya content 😎👍🏻
*Somewhere in the 90s was the time i saw video content with Amemiya Rotary Cars 😊
Would love to see a video on auto gallery Yokohama!
Great video Dino. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
Come sempre video stupendo, penso che non ci sia molto da aggiungere semplice senza molti fronzoli diritto al sodo della questione, le immagini parlano chiaro!! Continua così 👏👏
Grazie Chris! 🙏🏻
Great work as always
Thank you 🙏🏻
@3:25 is that the SA22C that Video-Option just released with Mr.Amemiya a few days ago? If so then kudos to these guys!🤘

The best thing to do is to make sure you’re always close to a rotary specialist
What's the song at the intro btw I love RE Amemiya I remember watching video option and his like mint color RX-7 with chrome Enkei Wheels hitting under a minute at Tsukuba.
I’ll let Alec answer that one
This is the one. The shop people know from video option
Fujita Engineering Next!!!!!
Nice one. Who's on the beats?
Good 👍 job....
☝
What is the name of the music??
It’s copyright free so not sure
🔥🔥🔥🙏👍🏽
My idea to you to re advertise Japan cars to the world in USA, ITALY or anywhere in the world. You can gain a money from your hobby. All the best & have a great life. Abdallah
If only rotaries were still a thing, and as a past owner, I'm disgusted at what Mazda has done, or more accurately, HASN'T DONE...
It’s a pity 😞
@@dino_dc sure is
na rotarys are definatly the way.
