I HAVE A 2006 PONTIAC TORRENT 3400 V6 AND JUST GETTING IN TO ABOUT 2 MONTHS NOW I'VE NOTICED ENGINE OIL LEAK MY PASSENAGER SIDE CHASSIC FRAME IS WET WITH OIL, TOOK IT TO MY MEHANIC AND HE CANNOT FIND THE PROBLEM, MY MECHANIC FIXED THE BLOWN HEAD GASKETS BUT NOW HAVE OIL LEAK. NEW OIL FILTER ADAPTER GASKET IS INSTALLED I WAS THINKING THAT EITHER IT COULD BE MY BASEPAN OR THE FRONT MAIN BEAARING GASKET, OH I DID NOTICE THAT AS MY SUV WAS RUNNING IN IDLE I SAW OIL ON THE GROUND. BUT WHEN THE ENGINE IS OFF IT'S NOT DRIPPING.
@@CantKillMe what about the engine oil stop leak it seals all seals and restores this one that i was looking at its called BAR'S LEAK Repair it restores all engine seals and restores the seal as they get hard overtime and this stuff supposed to help soften the hard seals and restored them , i saw a video bout a guy had same kind of trouble but he showed that it was the transmission line that was rusted out in the corner of the line I'm here in CANADA
Well.. it is good to see someone using actual hand tools and not air-driven. It is a serious pain, finding out on a 2003 Impala - just at the raising engine to get pan off then still have to replace rod bearings.
@@CantKillMe - I was not able to get the pan down, there was not enough room between pan and fly-wheel. So the idea of lifting the engine completely (means disconnecting way too many items) to get the pan down came across - but tossed that out the window since I did not have car in garage and just could not leave engine hoist out on the car at the curb [might have grown legs and walked off].
next Friday you will see how bad it is but its all the antifreeze/slug that was in it i dont want to do a engine flush on it because it will heart the engine

Would this be like a Pontiac Montana 99? I cracked my oil pan and got a new one but it looks like I need to remove my starter first.

@@CantKillMe thanks looks like I got to do this myself I already bought the oil pan and the mechanics charging me $650. Sheesh
Enjoyed the video but could do with some better camera work. All i see is use turning wrenches.
