Hey, thanks for watching [checking-in].. Purchased in Granger 1984 for $2800 to power hunting camp. I still have it... Just overhaul the carburetor, it didn't need it. Runs like a champ. Recently I rearranged my garage, moving things around, and my wife stubbed her toe on it, she cursed it. My reply: don't yell at, I had way before I met you.
Hello, thanks for the comment. Your RPM question I can’t answer, I don’t know, though the kill switch when wet has a shocking effect. Thanks for watching.
John, if you still have this unit could you share the model number. I have one almost exactly like it made by WINCO (1981) and I'd like see if mine will start electrically like yours does through the alternator without using an external starter motor. I'm pretty sure WINCO made those for Dayton.
Great find on the generator, I love this particular model. Just a word of caution, It says 1800 RPM for a reason. The best way to shorten a "long life" generator it to play with the throttle, if you over rev this generator you more than likely will do permanent damage to it.
Thanks for watching, just throttled-up engine for video purpose. Love this unit and it never let me down in the thirty years I owned it. Glad back then I purchased an electric start model, could never pull start this unit now, nor kick start old motorcycles.
They sure don't make them like they used to. That ones a keeper! Its a lot better than the new 3600 rpm junk with Chinese engines. Keep that old gal going!
Thanks for watching and returning a post... and Yes it is a 326432 having plenty of mass & weight, all cast iron even the alternator/genhead is cast iron, it's a beast.
So I have the weldanpower 225 acdc from 1984 same engine Briggs stratton cast iron.......it shit the bed yesterday could you point me in the right direction? I give try to turn it over @ 1:00 th-cam.com/video/zWFo__4APiQ/w-d-xo.html
Wow, what timing, just ordered a calibrator kit [float and needle valve] and upgraded muffler. Was working generator [and snowblower] last week. That muffler came with unit. Sometimes I like the loudness as a benefit, can't hear the old-lady squawking bothering me with nonsense when in mechanical zone. Thanks for watching.
John, we couldn't finish our conversation at that other video because the uploader turned out to be a jerk and he deleted our comments. I asked you for a private conversation and you said you were willing to talk via emailing. So here is my address... First you write “Will”, then you put a “J”, then you put “house”, then you put “of”, and then a “C”, then you type an a-symbol, and then a “G”, then you put “Mail”, then you put a period, and finally you put “comm” (with only one “m”, not two). NO QUOTATION MARKS. NO SPACES. Let me know when you've sent.
It’s been over 3 months since I showed you my emailaddress on this video after you said we could talk outside of YouTbe. Why haven’t you mssaged me yet?
Interesting info in description.
Very nice old school L head Briggs John, Hang onto that! Cheers from Canada man!
Do you still have the machine and how did you get the genset fella ???

Looks great I need to get the pul crank assembly just in case. Missing that. Yea our panels are a bit different. Sounds great!

I have this engine in my Allis Chalmers B10 so now it's a B16. Had to do very little modification to the frame.

This is very cool specially since it’s 1800 RPM which is hard to find unless you go to electrical gas or diesel three or four cylinders awesome
Thanks for posting, love receiving comments, especially on this video as my very first video. Cannot believe the amount of views. Best Wishes to ya.

Wooooow that looks like a CAT generator. Does it have permanente magnets?
Your microphone needs to be turned up a bit when you were talking. 2:35
could i get a picture of the wiring for the plugs? Im rebuilding mind and it destroyed by rats.
Will look again for diagrams over thanksgiving weekend. I know I have it...
This appears to be a model 326432.

This one is a post-1981 model seeing as it has the Magnetron electronic ignition label on the rewind starter housing.
I got the same engine with a7.5kva 240 volt gen. Needs a starter motor. Just pull start Atm.
Its morts voice from family guy!!!! Hahahaha but seriously nice generator
I like this Motor l6hp
Largest Briggs of that generation that I’ve seen. 14HP was the previous.
This generator is able to do 1800 RPM efficiently because of the size of the engine.

Put a real muffler on it and it will be much quieter
