    Eddie Taylor is also my favorite blues guitar player. Such an overlooked giant of electric blues guitar. thanks!

    What gear are you on guitar amp and pedal

      that's my fender deluxe reissue with an upgraded Jensen ceramic speaker and my trusty Epiphone Sheraton Korean made, that was destroyed in a van accident. thanks man!

      @@JohnnyBurginBlues Thanks so much for explaining what guitar this was etc, I’m intrigued by the gear some great players like yourself use. Too much guitar snobbery in our world today. I love the fact it was Korean made ( you made it sound fantastic). I’ve just discovered your channel today and absolutely love it. Subscribed. Sorry to hear you lost that precious guitar in a van accident. Hopefully nobody got badly injured. Very best wishes from Northern Ireland. 🌌🌅🌠🕊👍🏻

    Your pedal is a fuzz or overdrive?

    • @JohnnyBurginBlues

      i don't think I used on this one. but I use a bad monkey od or a maxon overdrive currently which I like a lot.

    Would be nice to get a bit more context of these riffs - which tunes can these be found in?

    • @JohnnyBurginBlues
      @JohnnyBurginBlues  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question-- that really fast one in C is from Blues After Hours on Ready for Eddie. Also "I'm A country Boy" which is based on a Tramp groove from the same record. And his original 45 of Bad Boy, and his version of Bad Boy from the eponymous record on Wolf from the 80s. That whole record illustrates the later style I was referring to.

      @@JohnnyBurginBlues Thank you so much! Found “Ready For Eddie” and now I get where you’re coming from on this. As you mention, interesting to pick up on the evolution of his style as time passed. The “Bad Boy” became a “Country Boy”!

      @@MDLinzee you made a good point that I should make sure to point out what song/records I'm referring to. that's a great record but anythign wth ET's name on it is great.

      @@JohnnyBurginBlues And lots of things without his name! Thanks. Excellent lesson!

      @@JohnnyBurginBlues man, you got that right. I have had ET’s Charly CD (Bad Boy) playing nonstop in the car for ages and have yet to tire of it. A lot of nuance that is there in everything he plays.
