Just as a note you can also use the 2nd usb for an extra virtual cable channel on a single pc setup. Good for streamers who want to control music or whatever beyond just controlling discord, the lack of virtual channels is the only thing Rode needs to work on.
@@josephpratt4795 you just physically plug in the usb(s) once you do that it will create the other/new channel. I'm hoping in a future update they just give us more virtual channels it'll be called "secondary" and you can port it how you like.
Been looking for a video showing these exact things to determine if I should get the Rodecaster Duo or not to replace my GOXLR. Thank you for this video!
Wow brother this video really made it so easy and simple ! The audio from my mic is amazing now! I have the Sm7b and the rod caster duo! Thank you very much for this :)
Great video. Still learning this Rodecaster Duo. I was looking for more advice. I have 3d printers going and of course they can generate extra noise. When I record it picks it up a bit and has that fuzzy sound when I talk. Any ideas?
This is amazing, nowhere I saw this settings here! If you could also explain for those curious ones, what all the setting mean? Why do you set them the way you do? It would give us a greater picture how to manipulate them in general. Thanx.
Brother, please make a video on how to set it up for singers? For example, if I supply backing tracks from a laptop and at the same time stream on Tik Tok, how can I connect?
Hi. I’m facing some issues. I’m sending tiktok live and when i (sometimes) playing music from my computer is delaying one or two seconds difference. My mic voice com little late. Any idea why is that and solution? Thank you
I have a question; when changing to these things in windows for sound output etc. how do I hear the game sounds and discord for example? Like today I have them on speakers, is the ONLY option to get a headset and plug into the duo like a monitor? I have not seen anyone adress this and you are clearly not wearing any headset in the video. appreciate if anyone knows.
Hi! Thank you SO much for this video. I have a quick question though, I can't get some of the settings exactly the same as yours, for example on High Pass Filter I can only get 61.5Hz and not 61 - is there something I am missing?
Good video, only one remark, at about 5:33 in to your video, you were saying that only audio source to set in OBS is Mic/Auxiliary Audio to be set Microphone (RODECaster Duo Main Stereo) but yet your Destop Audio is set to Default, YOur Default audio is RCD Main Stereo, arent you getting double Audio going to main mix in OBS?
I came her to checkout that my settings matchup after 1moth of struggle with rødecaster duo xD, Wish i found this before. Was dealing with echo, and did not see that i had " desktop sound " on obs and rødecaster usb 1 active aswell 😂 But my settings look simulare now so hope i dont have any problems more :)
Hello. Can you recommend an audio interface for live broadcast and dubbing? If possible, you can also give microphone advice. My total budget for the audio interface and microphone is $1,000. I don't want to spend more than I need. I'm very undecided and I can't decide whether I should buy a Rodecaster Duo style product or whether the ID14 will do the job as well. I would be happy if you help
So the rode caster is a great tool but not needed. As for a mic I use the Shure sm7b but if your mixer doesn’t have a built in amp to power the sm7b you’ll need to buy a cloud lifter which is $100 alone
I just bought a roadcaster duo and have a microphone Shure SM7DB and I followed all your steps here but I can hear everything on my headset - I listen to my chair and every move I make - I don’t want it to sound like this - Any help?
Sm7b with clould lifter give 25 db extra - your mic already (sm7db) already have more gain 25 . so make the mixer gain less 25db because your new shure have it already , check and replay 👍
Do you ever record guitar into a DAW? I've found that the guitar sounds great when monitoring or streaming through the Rodecaster Duo, but the sound quality is terrible when trying to use it in a DAW as an audio interface.
great Video. Im curious though. is there any other in depth explanation to each channel. i've been having hell setting up mine with issues, such has my mic sounding terrible in game, and too loud blowing peoples speakers out, but to my i sound just fine. lots of issues that is making me want to just take this thing back.

I’m having a hard time splitting chat and game audio in game. With my goXLR I could turn chat down in COD and leave game volume up but the RodeCaster Duo it turns everything down - what’s the fix or way around this issue
Hey I need some help so I’m trying to do a review show on obs and I had my ssl along with Rodecaster duo to stream music however it no longer works can you help me
I have an issue related to the smart pad on the Rodecaster pro 2, I have added a poem on that pad that I will need to use from time to time on my podcast, however after I recorded that into my adobe Audition on my desktop, and then play it back the sound was bouncing up an down as if there is an effect running in the background (e.g. Noise gate) although it's not the case, why is that happening, does it have to do with the signal/sound rate on both the RCP and Audition or what?
Great Video .. could you do this specifically for RODE Streamer X feeding to ZOOM? I use this for my video calls and I am trying to get the best settings for my audio.
Hey Jim! So all you have to do is make sure the mic in zoom is using your mic from your RODE unit and you should be good to go! It’ll use the settings you have for it. Make sure to sub for more tech and audio tips
@KidShadoeStudios All you need is the rode wireless transmitter that can be wirelessly synced to the Rode X ... then on Unify, you just need to raise the Gain ... I raise it to 10...
Been thinking about making the switch from goxlr can the rode caster handle 250 ohm headphones without needing a separate amp/dac , awesome video though 😃
My only gripe is I cant control game audio and music audio seperately as well. I need a mixer that can control all that audio for streaming games, but also for when i feel like playing guitar on stream
