I'd just love for them to have some other kind of extra deck monster besides fusion. I think XYZ would be best, the can comfortably spam lv 4 and 8 pretty comfortably.
The therion package is good but definitely not needed for the main combos. You could replace regulus and discoloseum for some more train extenders like Bullet train, and then replace springans merrymaker and sargas for Gustav max and juggernaut liebe. Or you could also just put in more hand traps or board breakers

I'd love to build Ancient Gears again since I played it all the way back when it first came out, though the game already costs a lot, if I can avoid spending 27 euros for therion I'd gladly do XD I'll experiment with some more stuff then, I'd rather focus more on the "Beat hard. Go home" aspect Xd
Mainly because you can chain block with derricrane. Summon wyvern, chain 1 wyvern, chain 2 derricrane, prevents you from getting your wyvern ashed. It's also a more guaranteed extender as it's a trigger effect. Bullet trains recycling effect is nice but we really don't want the game to last longer than your first turn anyway
It's not a bad choice to run 3 but it doesn't do much on its own. It's great to have in the opening hand but only if you have the cards to actually combo. And a good part of your combo doesn't involve ancient gear cards so fortress doesn't protect the whole combo. But if you thinks it's worth running at 3 then definitely do so
My master duel build is a bit different. I run droplets instead of clockwork night and my ratios are a bit different. Check out my most recent master duel video for the full list if you're interested
It's a fun and relatively cheap deck to make if you take out the therion cards. But at tournaments you'll have trouble doing well with it. But it can definitely steal some games if you're lucky and if you know what you're doing.
In a tearlaments meta, no. Otherwise, you'd really have to play a lot of board breakers or floodgates, and even then it's a huge stretch to say you could make master 1

I'd replace Terraforming for a copy of ancient gear hunting hound. It helps with certain combos for going into your chaos ancient gear giant
