Don't have any ideas on spending your money , just keep doing your best .KWs and Pete's good if you are going to live on the road , Freight shakers, Volvo's Western Star , Binders also it's the name just like with farm equipment You got to keep your tank clean just like your milk cooler .I found out and others like me that a good off the farm job is always a winner , it's the love of the land that makes it hard
Im looking on getting some bottle calves, what is the best weight to feed them out too the max i would go is 700 lbs but im debating to either 200 lbs or 500 lbs before i sell them to the next guy, i was just wondering witch one would be the best, thanks keep up the great vedios.
paccar makes Kenworth and Peterbuilt and they make a good truck, they run the same engines and trans as International but the extra money you spend is all in cab comfort and they hold their value. I drive an International because they are cheaper, used KW or a Pete's are 3times the price of an International. Calves look good, if you can turn slop into beef and make some money that is the way to go. Thanks for the vid If you find a truck in Alberta I'll drive it down to you in November after the cows are home and the calves go to town or I would look at the truck for you anytime.
Landmark cattle your hoop barn or your hog barn would work then you could get another group in two weeks when you have these all broke to the milk bars lol
I wish I could use the hoop barn lol it’s full! I’ve actually read on more than one instance that raising calves in hog barns has been found to be difficult at time due to diseases and ventilation. So I guess that throws that out the window. Plus, the hogs barns will be full this winter! I’m not sure the milk bars would save time. I’d need 6-7 pens with 5-6 calves in them. When I have sick calves, there’s no nose to nose contact with my setup.. and I’m getting all the milk mixed and fed in 15 min.
Holstein bottle calves look nice hopefully you're getting them at a good price. Those bucket holders I bought a couple hundred of them to make sure I did not have to pay that Mark up price. Hope I hope you have a great day keep the videos coming
Try putting a home grown raw egg mixed in the milk. Cures the scours
Thanks for the update. Stock looks good.
Chuck Stevenson thanks!
Seems like you are getting things figured out. Looking good!

AndersonCattleCo. I found a 1987 Pete for $5500. 10 speed with the L10 it’s weak but I’m gonna go look
Have you looked in to the milk bar buckets to feed calves in groups of 5 or 6 they sure cut down on time lol
C6 Farms I know cow camp using them. May be a better choice in a bigger barn

Would save a lot of time on clean up.
Landmark cattle probably the best way be an automatic calf feeder were you can spend more time managing than feeding lol
What did you implant??
cucurbitfan I’ll do a video!

The Farming Life he gave me 4 small calves so that knocked the average price down lol
Baytril, well the generic stuff has worked for me with scours.
YoungMnDairyman I’ve used it too!
I’m also curious about the implants
