My Mom used to water all of our heifers in the winter using 5 gallon pails. Over 35 years her shoulders were shot. One joint was replaced the other had rotator cuff surgery. That shoulder really never came around as she hoped. Mom says if she were to do it again she would have that replaced too. Personally Brian, I think if you can get through your farming career without surgery that would be an amazing accomplishment. I'm pulling for you.
My wife of 42years passed away from cancer this Feb 7. Her name was Scharme. She and I would be very much honored to have a heifer named after her. That is a very rare name. Thank you!!

Hey Brian! Long time viewer and love watching your channel. My wife and I recently lost both our male dogs, Gunner and Scooby, within a year of each other. If you have two bulls born on the same day, it would be really cool to carry on Gunner and Scooby’s unbreakable bond and name them after our boys.
You have to be very proud of all three of your sons. The one we see the most has truly stepped up and continues to learn more each day. Good job to both of you. Responsibility is something not found in our current enviroment. I commend both of you!☺
Brian, I feel for you on the shoulder issues, I've got one that wakes me up several times a night. I have 3 buddies that have had theirs operated on and two said they got back to about to about 75% and the other said his still hurts all the time. I decided to just limp along with mine, sometimes I question whether I made the right decision.

I recently learned that stroking the bridge of the nose will halt a sneeze, so I gave it a try just to see for myself...ha, it worked! I save that trick for instances where a sneeze is not a good idea. Any bright lite works to stimulate a stubborn sneeze. I've never researched why that's so, but it's true!
A respectful request from an avid long time viewer, if possible of course!! Would you please let the camera roll a bit longer when cows meet up with their calves, give birth and connect with them (starting to lick off etc). In other words, just seeing the calves and their mums connecting!! If it’s not possible, I totally understand.

His name was fugly.. he was a 1 eyed boxer and such a sweet loving old boy who we rescued as a puppyfrom the middle a thorn bush along the side of the road zimbabwe. Watching you throw that calf in the gator reminds me of a time I did that with my Polaris ranger pulled up to a calf that was out in the pasture without a mama anywhere to be seen. Cow dog was in the box I grab the calf throw her on the floor run around to climb in and just as I reached for the roll cage the ranger just takes off over the hill with a very confused cow dog in the box The calf I guess tried to stand up putting her hoof firmly on the accelerator and literally it was “pedal to the metal” The snow drift over the hill stopped the ranger……, eventually…., bout five feet before it got to the fence. After that everytime I put a calf in I put it in park .
My father left us two years ago, he grew up on a farm caring for livestock. He would take us to the county fair, we would spend the majority of the fair stay looking at the livestock. Could you please name a bull calf after him? His name was Myron.

Hey Cole & Brian been watching from Sydney Down Under for a while now, I'm a bit younger than Brian, run my own electrical contracting business for over 30 years with 10 employees. I have always loved farm life and during lockdown bought a 128 acre property in a whim, running currently 25 mixed steers so always interest in the cattle issues you have. Love seeing you and your dad working together. I have a son myself who is 26yo but he lives and works a long way away in London UK. Keep up the good and hard work , it is always worth it.

We use the loader tractor every day! But the skid loader can do many things the tractor cant
