I actually like the game. It does have a lot of cringey dialogue. Playing the mission The Forge was annoying because I don’t understand why Neenah didn’t just climb into the monster truck at the start. She wasted my time so she could showboat into the truck. The game has some cool settings. I personally used the easy targeting settings just so I could feel like John Wick and it was kinda fun.
Is the gameplay at least fun? I loved Saints Row 4 and 3 simply because of how enjoyable and fun the gameplay was when I know lots of people hate those games

Yeah... majority know which game is great and which one is total picka whipped

I like crime games where you build up a criminal empire, and this game fills that desire. Played it directly after finishing Mafia: The definitive edition and the gunplay and driving felt easier in Saints Row.

Third thing is the empty world. Where are the people? It's such an unlived and quiet world. But for £8 it's still a bargain.
I believe that this game could’ve done a little better if it wasn’t a saints row game. If this game was an entire new IP I think people would have enjoyed it a little. But they messed it up shitting on everything that saints stranded for. I could see the vision but I just can’t call this game saints row. A shame this could’ve lead to another good series and a shame that the saints row has to end this way
Just started the vid so idk if you'll mention this or if they added it but last I knew you couldn't even rob stores outside of that early mission/cutscene with your friends. Cant even just kill the cashier's and pop the register or anything. If they made the combat a little less about rushing around using abilities to heal, gave us better weapons/gear, and gave us human shields back or something it coulda been so much better. A beautiful world at times with decent looking locations but not really anything to do in them. No animals to hunt or anything in this kinda map was a bit weird. You'll see some cool locations with arcades, crowds, and some cool little decorations. Then there's nothing really there as if they made the map,then put some mediocre side missions/activities, and added some lazy story into the mix but then never actually ended up breaking any life into the world itself. Go on the water and shoot boats? Boring. Get into a police chase? You lose them in like 5 seconds and have to slow down for them to catch up if you wanna have a long or interesting chase. Wanna rob a store? You can't. This is a barebones experience that is lacking almost any sign of the saints row magic we all love from 2 and 3. Lack of interiors is also a huge negative. I remember going into police stations, lawyer offices, clothing stores, casinos, and so many other places in the other games. The only real thing I can say I liked was the character creator detail.
It's not the best written but from every other aspect I'm personally feeling it's one of the best in the series, saints row 2 is still the best, but I think we all remember 3 as being better than it really was, 4 was super cringe, gat out of hell personally is up there in my favorites, but if you take this, and saints row 3 remastered, and play them side by side back to back, this game is better, this game has less likeable characters, that's about it, it's much better at executing missions and stories, gameplay is roughly similar, customization is much better, so on so fourth, I think people just shit on this one because it's not "what it could be", and I think that's mostly the camp of people who love saints row 2 and still wish the series could become the GTA killer people once thought it could be

3 on xbox 360 was pretty empty but on current consoles its pretty lively with a bunch of pedestrians walking around & police chasing people if they crashed into them, but honestly 2 was the best in terms of gameplay & being able to rob stores have gang battles & have tons of cheats that were fun but gat out of hell was the worst one for me I don't know why people loved it on my Xbox one which was a shit console it crashed a lot & the world was small & boring & I haven't played the new one yet but I'm willing to give it a try during the next big sale & 4 was complete shit & 1 was ok the saints you'd recruit were pretty shit because they sucked ass at shooting even if you gave them automatic weapons & they'd get in your way a lot & some of the missions were ass because the npcs would glitch out & just fet stuck in a wall or some bs but I hope they do a good remaster of 2 with keeping everything they had exactly the same gameplay wise & maybe adding some more things like cars & bringing back the car based off the Ferrari Enzo in the 1st game & getting rid of that horrible foggy graphics a lot of games loved to use back then like gta 4 & some of the Tom Clancy games I hated that shit it was a visual nightmare
