A thing with farmers after they finished their farm: They automatically walk to a nearby farm and start to work there BUT a farm is only being able to be harvested by one farmer per time so that always only one farmer is getting food from the farm while the other working farmers at it are just fussing around working in vain. To avoid that one should always take care of the signal sound when a farm goes empty. Simply press down your middle mouse button (or scroll button) down so that you get your vision to your last audio signal. That way you find the farmless farmer immidiatly without a long search. ;) The middle Mouse button also works for Attack Occasions, Unit Employments etc. Everything which is noted with an audio signal.
That is SO useful, I've been trying to memorize all the basic key combinations I could find on the internet, thank you so much for this, I have never seen anyone mention anything like that in the keyboard shortcut charts or in forums. Is it mentioned in the original manual?

It is written down in the manual for the expansion pack, but not in the actual text but instead in the changelog info text in the inside of the front page. At least that is the case in the german version of the game. ;) When I was reading it a while ago I was also super fascinated^^

In any case, putting more than 1 villager doesn't do much because one of the farmers will only collect food very slowly (Im assuming you already knew this, but I am mentioning it anyway).
this perplexed me when I first built a farm, I had no idea why they weren't gathering, and at the time I didn't know how to fix it, there's no warning at all, they could have at least not allowed you to put more than 1 farmed on one, or given you a message what would happen if you did. Was it in the game's manual? Sorry, I don't have it anymore
Thanks for the tips! I know what you mean. This is one of my earliest videos and I was recording and talking at the same time, which can be difficult if you need to focus on the game and talk at the same time, especially as a beginner. Because of this I decided that for most of my newer videos I will be Recording first and then voice over the recording later so that it sounds a lot better. So you should see some of my newer videos to see if there are improvements. I will still talk and record at the same time for my walkthrough videos as I think that is a necessity, so hopefully I will get better! cheers!
one more thing farms cost wood , 75 wood for every farmer also make videos more on AGE OF Empries DE need tips & tutorials more on that how many woodcutters & how many gold & stone miners rushes how to withstand their archers & cavalry rush u shud make them man , more more !!!
This tutorial only applies to the classic and not to the Definitive edition as the Definitive edition allows walking over farms.

Love the videos man, but they're a bit long and redundant, and theres too many Ummmmss... A bit of video editing would improve your viewership
